My current work in progress:

1. Strandwanderer, designed by Lea Viktoria, knit from Wollmeise Merino "Pure" in the "Zenzi" colorway on a 3.25 mm (U.S. size 3) needle.
2. Myriad stealth projects.

I’m running out of superlatives

No easy feat, considering that I never shut up.

Yet another visitation from the Gift Fairy!

Yesterday I got a lovely package from Bonne Marie, the ChicKnits diva! Inside:

Wonderful-looking bath salts, which I think will be just perfect to use in my continuing efforts to combat this.

And beautiful buttons that I’ll be using on a project very soon . . . stay tuned for that.

I decided to start a blog after reading Bonne Marie’s ChicKnits, and I bet that’s true of a lot of us. So a huge thank you to our Queen of KnitBlog Inspiration!

Stash Enhancement

Got a coupla cool things in the mail the other day.

Heilo wool to knit Dale of Norway St. Moritz from Bea Ellis Knitwear.

Project Monogamy

No update photo of the virgins, as I didn’t work on the sweater last night. I worked on my secret Knitty project. I feel so . . . so . . . naughty! Like I was cheating on the virgin sweater. I don’t know how those of you with multiple WIPs do it. If I did this all the time, I’d be so consumed with guilt I wouldn’t be able to hold my needles!

Comments

  1. I ordered some Crocodile sock wool from Carodan as well. I am a sucker for those self-patterning yarns!

  2. I started my Crocs, alternating the green and brown–interesting look! Re:project monogamy,I’m still trying to be inspired by your discipline,Wendy, but here I am seaming the Inishmaan, 3 inches into the croc-socks, 5 inches into the Siberian Winter shawl and just finished the lower band of the front of Fulmar! And visions of St.Moritz are swirling in my head! Is there any hope for me? Hi to Izzy!

  3. L-B, I don’t know that it’s discipline — I think I’m just a Knitting Wuss. One at a time! Waaah! One at a time.

I know I’m in the minority in my monagamous knitting state. Aren’t I?

  4. Yes,you probably are, but look how much you accomplish! You must have the right idea!

  5. Oh, you enabler, you! I need more wool too (like a hole in the head). But just this morning when I woke up I was thinking about Opal Crocodile and wondering, “when, oh, when?” And so of course I had to place an order too!

  6. Yep, they don’t call me The Great Enabler for nothing, do they? ;-)

  7. I admire you for being monogamous. I can’t. I have my “mindless-in-the-car knitting”, “project-not-for-use-with-children knitting” etc. It makes it harder to finish things.

  8. Just read your article link—all I can say is Amen! Now pass those bath salts!

  9. Alcohol might also work for me in combatting the forces of evil. Gotta get home to my cocktail shaker!

  10. I sent the link to Working with Idiots…to several people today! Thanks for the link!

  11. Just finished a pair of socks in Opal – not croc, tho…. My first time using the Opal, and I’m not happy with the results. What size needles do you use? I had a really difficult time with gauge – never had that happen before with socks!!
