2. Myriad stealth projects.

Ch-ch-ch-changes . . .

In case you didn’t notice, my blog has a new home. I’m now at wendyknits.net — as opposed to wendyknits.com. A minor difference, but an important one, as this new site is being hosted by a new provider, far away from the Demon Host of Satan where wendyknits.com was located.

So, if you’ve got me bookmarked or linked, please do update same. I promise to try to stay put and not to make a habit of flitting around the ‘net.

Let’s give a big hand to . . .

Marta, of Martaschmarta! For yesterday morning I received this surprise from her:

marta's gift

A wonderful handcare kit from Bliss! There’s gel to put on your hands and gloves to wear whilst the gel is soaking in. Along with some moisturizer and a lemon scrub for all-purpose use. And a set of fun postcards! Thank you so much, Marta! And my poor winter-dry hands thank you too.

Virgin Sweater

Thanks for all your kind words and comments! I promise I’ll have better photos after the weekend. I’ve found that knitwear photographs much better in natural daylight than indoors, even with my beloved Ott Light.

Oregon Cardi

Here it is! Woo-hoo! Don’t I have a huge amount done?

oregon jan28 Ch ch ch changes . . .

This is knitted in the original yarn called for, Jamieson & Smith shetland jumperweight. I’m using a size 3 (3.25mm) needle. My 32″ ebony circular to be exact. I can’t wait til I get past the ribbing and into the good stuff! Ooh!

Here’s how I keep the colors separated:

yarn box

It’s a canvas box that’s supposed to be used for storing socks. But it’s perfect of skeins of shetland wool. I bought it online last summer. Don’t ask me where I got it because I don’t remember.

Yesterday the temperature actually rose above freezing! Izzy emerged from beneath the quilt!

  2. Wendy

    L-B . . . you mean the Oregon pictures? Mwa-ha-ha! there will be more . . . and more . . .

    Resistance is futile!

  3. L-B

Yeah.I got the name wrong because my eyes are closed. I’m not looking—I’m not!

Wendy, Love the “yarn” box. Will have to surf for one. And the Virgins sweater is wonderful. How do you get so much done in so little time? Thanks for such a great site.

  5. Katxena

    Yay! Izzy’s back! I missed her yesterday…

  6. Caroline F

Wait, don’t surf! Here is a link to the yarn box. The poor people were perplexed last spring when a zillion knitters suddenly ordered them. http://www.homestorageusa.com/clothesrackboxes.htm

I hope you are happier with your new hosting service! DH is my hosting service so I get GREAT technical support LOL. I caught the link change yesterday so I already updated. I’m going to pick up the Mt Rose tonight I swear! I am just dreading going back and forth in two colors… *sigh*

  8. Wendy

Thanks Shetha! I’ll try to emanate good “two-color vibes” for you. Lucky you having your DH as your hosting service. Fingers crossed this new one of mine will be a good one. So far so good!

Looks great, as always! One question – what are the white things poking out of the center of each ball?

  10. Wendy

The white things are tags with the color names written on them :-)
