My current work in progress:

1. Brickless, designed by Martina Behm, knit from Mrs. Crosby Carpet Bag in the "Boston Fern" colorway on a 4.0 mm (U.S. size 6) needle.
2. Myriad stealth projects.

Friday!

More rain yesterday. And more coming today. Yikes and double-yikes. I’m wondering if we’re all gonna float away. Maybe I should get Lucy some little kitty water wings.

Got the hair trimmed last night — I can’t believe how much it grew since I got it cut less than four weeks ago.

Here is what I looked like before the haircut.

And here I am getting my hair trimmed.

Isn’t my hairdresser a hottie?

Due to afore-mentioned hair trimming, compounded by mundane household chores, little knitting was done last night.

But here’s a photo of my sock in progress. I turned the heel! Ooh!

sipjun1903 Friday!

As you can see, my official sock inspector is on the job.

And I did a bit more on the camisole, too.

cami0619 Friday!

May your Friday go smoothly. Have a good weekend everyone!

Comments

  1. Love the colors of the camisole! Amazing progress on the sock, too! BTW, I’ll be trying out your toe-up pattern on my next pair – thanks for the pattern!

  2. Wow Wendy… I wish my hairdresser was so good looking. He seems to be quite efficient at what he does.

I love how the colours of the diamonds are reversed on each row. It looks like it glows, even on the monitor. To knit this complex design in cotton must be a bit of a challenge–no stretch and all. It is perfectly gorgeous!

  3. Thanks Ginny! I can take no credit for the glorius colors in the cami — it’s all due to Jill’s pattern. It’s even prettier in person.

(P.S. I’m thinking positive thoughts for you on July 2!)

Caroline — I hope you enjoy the sock pattern!

  4. Love the camisole! I’ve been resisting getting a kit, but now that I see yours, I may have to break down and indulge.
I am “owned” by five rescue cats. They enrich my life in so many ways. I love hearing about Lucy and how the two of you are growing into each others lives. I’m so glad you found each other.

  5. Is it just me…but the cute pictures of Lucy, the sock and camisole show on my computer….but not of you Wendy and your haircut. :(

  6. How embarassing! I just took another look and saw that I needed to click on the words….Serves me right for visiting your blog before I really was awake! You truly are the first person I “see” each day. Have a great weekend!

  7. Did he get all of that hair out of your eyes? Looks like Lucy’s wondering if the sock is gonna be a gigantic blue catnip rat! Have a great (and hopefully drier) weekend, Wendy!

  8. Nothin like the sweet smell of lanolin in the mornin . . . no wonder Lucy has bonded to ewe so easily.

Wish you’d send some of that rain our way – Arizona is already burning up with numerous forest fires again this year:(

The camisole pattern looks like so much fun, but not worth the struggle to me. Looking forward to you Smooching with Wellness.

  9. The blue sock looks beautiful, I really like that colorway! :) I’m almost done with the 1st sock using your pattern. LOL! Of course it take me a week just to knit a sock! ;)

    Have a great weekend! :)

  10. Thanks for the first chuckle of the morning Wendy! Short hair is great! but requires more frequent trips to the stylist…I have a standing every 3 week appointment with Maria – my stylist.

I posted a button on my page today for the reading group. The overhaul at Blogger is making the set up of the reading group page very frustrating. Night before I couldn’t get changes to the template to publish. Last night I was able to get in to post the button to One More Row but when I went back an hour later to try to insert code for comments Blogger wouldn’t except my ID and password ! Ugh!

I hope to have comments in and a post about getting started late Sunday night.

Hope your week-end is relaxing and dry! Finally the sun is out here in Ohio this morning!

    Hugs!

  11. Teresa, my stylist is named Maria as well — it’s not really the guy in the photo. She gave me a great cut, but cut my bangs a shade too short. Yikes!

But if my hair grows as fast as it has been, they’ll be hanging in my eyes in no time!

  12. Oh, Wendy – how do you ever control yourself around the vision of lovliness that is your stylist? :) Lacey sends a hello burble to Lucy. She hasn’t inspected my knitting yet but did snuggle on my lap for the first time last night. :)

  13. The colorway for the sock is fantastic! It looks stunning and I absolutely adore it… although I am the world’s biggest sucker for anything blue.

    Enjoy your weekend.

  14. I was having a bad day and I logged in to check out how you are doing. I got a laugh that has improved my mood immensely. Love the haircut! thanks!

  15. Hm. You know, a camisole made in that modular technique with long sleeves, done in random sock-yarn colors would make a VERY cool sweater … Just get the remnants of those one-sixth of a ball of Regia bits hanging around in the yarn bin, and …

Hm. Hm. Hm. I think I just invented a project for myself.

  16. Elaine Sakelarios says:

I keep hearing about a Toe UP Sock…is there a pattern? If so, please let me know how I can get it!!
    Thanks!
