All Suki, All the Time

On my trip to Toronto, I met the most adorable little dog in the world: Kathy’s Suki!

Suki is a dog of many moods. Here we see Sporty Suki.

But Seriously Folks . . .

A great time was had by all!

Kathy and Kate met me at the airport and we spent the afternoon chatting and fondling yarn in an LYS. The Bitch ‘n Stitch last Wednesday night was a blast! It was great to meet those of you who attended. Thanks for coming!

So the next morning we met up with Jillian and Amy and headed for Kathy’s cottage. What a gorgeous place. Here’s a photo of the deck:

And here’s the lake:

The lake was lovely as it looks in the photo — beautiful crystal-clear water and warm enough for swimming.

Here’s the biggest mo’ fo’ spider I’ve ever seen:

Kathy says it’s a dock spider. And it was the size of the palm of my hand. Thankfully, that’s the only one of those I saw.

Also thankfully, I didn’t see it until after Kate and I turned over the canoe, put it in the water, paddled around the lake, took the canoe out of the water and dragged it back on land and upturned it.

So we did lotsa fun stuff — Jillian summed it up well on her blog. She and Amy left on Monday morning, and Kate, Kathy, and I stayed til Tuesday morning. We three had a bit of a party Monday.

Oh, and here’s what I knitted.

That pile of stuff is all the parts of “Parched.” Just gotta sew it together, which I’ll do today, assuming I can take time out from laundry duties.

I picked up Lucy from her daddy on my way home from the airport yesterday afternoon. She was sleek, plump, and happy, so obviously she had a good time too. In fact, she and her dad have some photos of their vacation here. Darned clever of her to take a photo of Ian, I think.

I sure as heck missed her and am very happy to have her back.

Last But Not Least . . .

A huge thank you to our hostess Kathy. Not only did she have us all at her wonderful cottage, but she opened her home to me and she and her family made me feel extremely welcome. I stayed with them a night at the beginning and a night at the end and it was a great time.

Kathy, a huge cyberkiss to you! Mmmmmmwha!!
