My current work in progress:

1. Segel, designed by Lea Viktoria, knit from Miss Babs Yummy 2-Ply Toes in the "Draco" gradient set on a 3.5 mm (U.S. size 4) needle.
2. Myriad stealth projects.

It’s Great!

What’s great? The Critter Knitters Knit-a-thon! More prizes, and Liz got more requests for the blanket mailing address. Hurrah!

And I understand that Liz got something else that she’ll post about today — so be sure to check her out today!

When I left for work yesterday I noticed that Lucy was celebrating the project by using my WIP Flora as her own personal kitty blanket. Did I move her? Not on your life!

I’ve got a bit more Flora progress to show you. Here:

It’s great that Lisa is knitting the original Flora in the original colorway right now. We can compare and contrast! Inch by inch.

Socks

Here is the current sock in progress.

sip031604 Its Great!

We had a shelter-in-place drill at work yesterday (and yes, they are as fun as they sound). Fortunately I had this sock with me. And I only threatened to stab a coworker with a dpn once. And he started it.

Limerick du Jour

From Andrea in NY:

I wish I could knit here all day
Click-clacking my needles away
But I have to pay rent
Or end up in a tent
So I best get to work and get paid.

Amen to that.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Comments

  1. wendy, that lucy photo is right up there with the one from jan 13. lucy obviously has good taste :-)

  2. Nannette says:

Wendy, you are a brave soul to let Lucy curl up in your knitting. If I left mine exposed I’d have nothing but a tangle of threads when I got home from work. I have to keep my kitting in a picnic basket with a lid that closes, but even so I fear that they will learn how to open it! Flora is beautiful, but I’m looking forward to Ingeborg. I got my pattern in the mail yesterday!

  3. me want knit flora. can’t afford flora. must be strong.

  4. Lucy must be a good kitty. Does she ever “disturb” your knitting in anyway? Your Flora colors are beautiful. Happy St. Patrick’s to you and Lucy.

  5. Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Wendy! At least it’s not raining today. ;-)

I can’t believe how fast you’re making Flora. The colors are incredible!

  6. Jenny (in davis) says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! And we noticed an abundance of green on yar site, lassie! Wow is flora coming along fast. When it’s done, will you give us the overall time, start to finish? please? just hide it in the body of the log so the cranky jealous people won’t comment…

  7. I too am amazed at how good Lucy is with the knitting. TNC isn’t interested in works in progress, but she is obsessed with carrying yarn balls around in her mouth. Cute, but annoying!

  8. It is 10:00 p.m. I just returned home from three, consecutive meetings. I’m looking at your blog for motivation to get knittin’ and watch the news. You do beautiful work. I am inspired.

  9. Wendy, I know you’ve said in earlier entries that you’ve stopped doing cross-stitch – but I was cruising looking at cross-stitch patterns tonight [I do them as well] and saw this one that could be your Lucy. Thought you’d like to see it. http://www.twdesignworks.com/Designs/tapestrycat_l.html
