To all my guest bloggers from last week! I think they all did a fabulous job. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. It was probably the most entertaining week so far on Wendyknits. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was in San Diego for the week, arrived home on Friday night. Lucy gave me the cold shoulder at first, but quickly forgave me for going away, and was her usual snuggly self.

The week in San Diego was for work, so I didn’t go anywhere, really, apart from out to dinner two nights I was there. But it was a good time nonetheless!

Here’s the view from my hotel balcony:

And an organized lunch we had:

Tough life, eh?

I did knit whilst away, but it’s a stealth project, a gift for my secret pal, so no photos here.

However, when I got back I picked up where I left off on Liam. Here’s my first sleeve progress as of Saturday afternoon:

And as of Sunday night:

Comments

  1. Thank you so much for haveing guest bloggers while you were away. It was so much fun to read them.

  2. Wah. Homesick. Lived in San Diego for seven years, and am now in Burbank. SD is the best cities I’ve ever lived in, bar none. *sigh*

  3. Welcome back Wendy! I enjoyed your guest bloggers very much, but I’m happy you’re here again.

  4. Oh my god! You have two eyes! Both of them are peeking over Liam! I thought from your picture in the upper righthand corner that you only had one!

  5. Welcome Home. Your guest bloggers were good – but there’s nothing like the real thing!

It is obvious that Lucy is very pleased to have you back also.

  6. Welcome back! Your guest bloggers were great. What dedication to your blog to have it updated while away. You are the Knitting Blogger Goddess!

My friend, Julie, in Virginia saw your picture in the Washington Post(?) last week and emailed me the link. Nice article and great advertising for Knit Happens. Julie’s mailing a hard copy to me, so I’ll see the full article soon.

Separately, I noted that you removed the “Referring Web Pages” to your blog. My only curiosity (if you don’t mind answering) is this – Did you remove it for purely personal reasons or was it causing problems on your blog? If it was for technical reasons, would you mind commenting on them? I liked the idea and added the same tracker to my blog, but I wonder if it is causing me problems. Care to opine?

    Happy knitting! Welcome home.

  7. Welcome back! I was in a toy store Saturday and spotted the SBSP Pez dispensers, and had them in my hand before I thought, “Oh, I’m sure she’s already got a TON of these…” Now that I’m thinking a bit more clearly, I know that you can never really have too many SBSP Pez dispensers…

  8. Welcome back! Your guest blogger line up was great! What a grand idea! Loved them, but glad you are back. And that Liam is just amazing!

  9. Welcome home, Wendy! The only thing better than having a Monday holiday when I don’t have to work, is having a Monday holiday when you still post!
    Great guest bloggers last week!

  10. Welcome back! I enjoyed the guest lineup, too. It was really cool seeing your Mom’s knitting. I heard about the Post article and ran out to buy it. What a great article! It’s nice to know that all my recent stealth stash enhancement forays have bolstered the yarn business. ๐Ÿ˜›

  11. loved the guest bloggers:) i really love the picture of lucy in your lap… got one of my own this weekend with mine!!! have a wonderful week!!!!

    storm

  12. Welcome back Wendy! I enjoyed reading entries by your guest blogger’s as well. Glad your cat isn’t stuck up to you now, hehe. Liam is looking great!

  13. Wendy,

Your blog guests were great, and I truly loved your mom and her pictures. I thought she was so cute!!!

Glad you had a safe trip. Too bad you didn’t have more time in San Diego, I think you would have really enjoyed visiting.

    Tootles~

  14. Welcome home! I’m very curious about what your lucky secret pal is receiving…

  15. Yet another Melissa says:

Welcome back, Wendy. Loved the guest bloggers, but a little disappointed not to hear from the “star of the show” — Miss Lucy herself! When is she going to blog? I’m sure her comments would be very enlightening…

  16. Welcome back. The guest bloggers were fun.

I saw those Pez dispensers at a store yesterday and the first thing I thought of was Wendy and her Sponge Bob collection. They are very cute, I may have to pick one up sometime.

    Glad to have you back.

  17. Your guest bloggers did a bang up job! While shopping for school cloths for my kids I spotted SBSP underoos. I immediately thought, Wendy certainly wouldn’t have a pair of these hangin’ in her office anywhere! But I restrained myself. Welcome back Wendy.

  18. I ♥ Patrick!

  19. That was such a unique idea to have guest bloggers while you were away. Great idea and it was fun to see who was next up to post. ๐Ÿ˜‰
