My current work in progress:

Moth Cardigan, designed byAmy Christoffers, knit from Rowan SoftYak DK in the Plain colorway, using U.S. size 3 and 5 needles.

The Sock Yarn Has Left the Building

I mailed out all the sock yarn on Friday, so those of you who were chosen will be receiving packages in the mail. Soon, depending on where you live!

Thank you, everyone, who entered the contest. I thought it was great fun, and a good way to clear out space for the . . . uh . . . new sock yarn stash.

Thanks also, for all the great comments on my fourth blog-i-versary. Doesn’t seem like it’s been four years . . .

Speaking of Socks

Here’s sock number one of the pair I started last weekend:

And I just barely started sock number two:

I worked some on the cotton aran.

But more importantly, I finished up some spinning! I spun up the rest of the wool-mohair roving that I’ve been working on for ages.

And this afternoon, plied it.

With the 2 ounces I plied a couple of months ago, I’ve got a total of almost 11 ounces and 720 yards. Enough to do something with — maybe a Leaf Lace or Flower Basket Shawl?

Lucy seems unimpressed.
