Important Blog Announcement

I just wanted to let you guys know that WendyKnits will be undergoing a facelift over the next few days.

My wonderful web guru Daisy is busy setting up WordPress and importing my Moveable Type blog entries to the new blog. Daisy says that she’ll be disabling commenting for a day or so, while she gets everything set up. So do not be alarmed if you cannot leave a comment.

There may be a bit of down time as we bring the new and *hopefully* improved site online.

Another heads up — Daisy thinks she’ll be able to transfer the feed to the new blog, so those of you who subscribe to WendyKnits in Bloglines will continue to receive notifications with no problems. But if you don’t see any new updates within the next few days, you’ll need to come to the blog and resubscribe.

Thanks!

  1. Yay for the move to WordPress. I think you’re gonna love it. It’s what all the big kids are using these days. :) And Lucy can even have her own page, too.

  2. This is going to be fun! Can’t wait to see the ‘new’ blog! All will be good as long as you keep doing the Lucy snippets…

  3. Enjoy the upcoming facelift! A new blog look or site is always fun.

Choosing for all the WordPress choices can be a challenge…but fun….kinda like choosing which yarn you want. : )

Welcome to WordPress! I’m a longtime lurker/reader, occasional commenter, but with a brand new baby blog about knitting and (my) life at WordPress. I’m adequate with computers, but not very blog-savvy, but I’ve been delighted so far with the services and support, and ease of use (for me).
I just stopped here today by happenstance, looking for your old post about needle storage; and the search feature isn’t working for me. But it doesn’t matter because you’re moving!

  12. Ooo – how exciting! Can’t wait to see the lifted face of WendyKnits! :)

  13. Happy blog-facelifting ;-)

  14. If she sets you up with feedburner then you should have absolutely no problem keeping all your readers. Not that you’d have to worry about that. We’d find you somehow. =)

  15. See you on the other side, and safe travels!!

  16. Did Lucy gived her blessing?

  17. Yay! I love wordpress. And categories! O you’ll have lots of fun with it.
