Ragdoll Diva

That’s Lucy’s own colorway, sent to us by the wonderful Stacy, she of Tempted Yarns fame.

It’s a wool/silk/nylon/silver blend — isn’t it pretty? I’ve already come up with a Ragdoll Diva sock design. Knitting will commence in a couple of weeks.

Stacy also sent us these adorable Ragdoll stitchmarkers.

And if that wasn’t enough — a colorway just for me!

Called “Soxy Wendy.” :-) This one is 100% wool, and it a perfect blend of “Wendy” colors.

Thanks, Stacy! Lucy and I love our colorways.

I’m likely to get a swelled head– after all, I just became a Loopy Legend last month.

In other news . . .

Yes, I did abandon the Chevron Sock for now. Actually, I have a stealth project to knit, so that will replace my regularly scheduled sock knitting for the next couple of weeks.

But I did start an “at-home” project. Any guesses what Lucy is wearing here? :-)

What beautiful colors those are! My god! And of course the stitchmarkers are divine…as all things Lucy should be! I suspect she’s modelling what will soon be a fabulous shawl and I can’t wait to see it!

  2. KSee

Both yarns are beautiful. Can’t wait to see them when you knit something up. Love the Lucy stitch markers. I have a set of Pug markers that could have been made by the same person.

  3. Wendy in Cambridge

I love both of the colorways and can’t wait to see what you come up with for them!

Hmmm–perhaps Lucy is modeling a new shawl? It appears to be a cabled one.

Oh my goodness, what lovely lovely yarns. I didn’t manage to snag one of your Loopy Legend skeins last time around but I’m definitely getting it next time they are in. Yours and Lucy’s Tempted yarns are lovely. I’m guessing that’s the Kraemer base yarn? I’ve been meaning to buy some and try it out. I’ll be interested to read what you think of it. I’m a terrible magpie so I love the idea of silver socks. And wouldn’t that make a great present for a new baby? Silver socks to go with (or instead of) a silver spoon. And the stitchmarkers are so cute! If they came in golden retriever I’d be all over that in no time flat.

My best guess is a new shawl also. It looks very pretty. I look forward to finding out what it is.

    Those colors rock!

THat looks like Juno from winter knitty…if it is I’ve got a red one going, its a fun quick knit.

Love the colorways… I bow to you and Lucy… I am not worthy!
    :-)

I guess the new “at home project” might be some kind of Aran sweater. Those patterns look suspiciously like those found on an Aran sweater; something I have never knitted but plan to before I depart this planet! Years ago on the cover of August 1977 Family Circle, they showed a pattern for a wonderful sweater with hood and pockets. Someday I’m gonna knit that sweater ! That magazine has followed me around from apt to townhome to house.

Am looking forward to seeing more of the at home project. Luv to Queen Lucy and Princess Wendy ! ;-) meo

  8. Michelle

OMG those stitch markers are too cute!!!

And the yarn is lovely too!!

  9. Sock Knitter

Ohhhh, GORGEOUS — Congrats of ALL counts ;)

And no guesses what your new project is — but I LOVE the color and the design so far!!

  10. Stacy

Thank you so much for the kind words. I ordered the markers from a wonderful Etsy artist, Jillian of Weeones http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=93256 , and I was very impressed with them myself when I received them. I even got myself some little Maltese dogs for myself.

  11. Hattie

Oooh love the Ragdoll colorway, love the sparklies!

Looks like a shawl on Lucy, but hard to tell what kind of pattern! Triangle I think…

  12. Susan

Lovely sock yarn. Your mystery project looks like Serenity.

  13. Danielle from SW Missouri

Love the Ragdoll Diva and Soxy Wendy yarns! And the Ragdoll stitch markers are to cute for words!!

  14. Kathy in KS

Is that little sparlkies in the Rag Doll Diva yarn? Very pretty, and I must say, inspired.

  15. firefly

That is the sweetest thing, to have a colorway named for sweet Lucy. Meow, Lucy.

I suppose if you head swells up too much, it will be alright. You could be in next year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, floating along and knitting as you pass by people windows.

I think I need to go get a cuppa coffee, my mind is meandering a bit too much.

Oh, but Lucy is wearing … ah, uh, umm … sorry, need some caffeine first. But she does look marvelous in blue.

    Warmest wishes,
    firefly

  16. Theresa in Italy

Well, who is more deserving of their very own colorways?! Both very lovely. As for what Lucy is wearing, I’m guessing the beginning of a shawl of some kind. Or at least, not a sock.

  17. Brigitte

Ah Lucy, the guys here sure are impressed you have such a purty colourway! Not to mention their Mom…

  18. miss sandra

Is it really a shawl? Hmmmm, gull wingish cables, yarn over upper or lower edge. My first guess was not shawl but hmmmm….I just don’t know-how exciting!

  19. Linda

Is Lucy modelling the start of an Agatha shawl?

I love those stitch markers and the Soxy Wendy and Ragdoll Diva are beautiful colours. :0)

  20. Tracy

I totally love the Ragdoll Diva yarn! The sparkles just give it that perfect diva touch. AND the stitchmarkers :-) I’m definitely not good at identifying new projects OTN, but that teal-y yarn looks lovely.

  21. Renee'

The yarn is worth coming out of the shadow of lurkerdom to say, “WOW!” Lucy, be proud – ‘Ragdoll Diva’ is absolutely georgous and the stitch markers cute.

  22. Kate

    Love the Soxy Wendy colorway!

  23. Emily

I love your Loopy Legend colorway. It’s gorgeous. Off to put it on my WishList. :)
