It seems like it was just Halloween, and here we are, on December 2nd already. I know you’ll be pleased to know that I took some time to decorate my office this morning:
So now I am in a properly festive mood, thank-you very much.
And I’m loving my work in progress.
I actually started this Thanksgiving night, but only knit a bit then, due to turkey-fatigue. But I got quite a bit done over the weekend, and then was too busy to do more than a couple of rows last night. I’m wishing I had more spare time this week because this is just so much fun to knit.
The pattern is complex enough to be entertaining, but not so complex that it takes a lot of my attention. And I love this yarn — the Tilli tomas Demi-Plie silk. I bought it on sale somewhere — don’t remember where. I’ve got 1160 yards in this colorway (Parchment) and am now patting myself on the back for having the foresight to have purchased an equal amount in Natural. I have Plans for that yarn, but they are not sufficiently “gelled” to be discussed here in public.
This won’t mean anything to anyone but my Plurk buddies . . .
But today I hit the highest possible Karma score. Moments before:
I’m thinking about making Lucy call me “Ma’am” from now on. Or maybe “Mommie Dearest.”
No, I’m an indulgent mother, really. Why else would I have let Lucy have her own phone?
Except now I get text messages like this all day:
“I wuz framed! I iz innocent, I tells ya!”
