Long Weekend

It’s Day Two of a 4-day weekend for me. Ahhhhh!

I’ve been working along on the Hanging Garden Stole.

I’m at the point where I need to measure it and see how much more I want to knit before finishing. It’s getting pretty long.

You know, I realized yesterday why I could never be a vegetarian. See my plate at lunch yesterday?

It’s awfully hard to eat food that is looking at you.

Meanwhile, Lucy is helping with the laundry.

  1. That food plate reminds me of those new Geico commercials where they have the stack of money with the googly eyes attached. Staring at you.

Miss Lucy is lovely as always!

  2. ROFL….the pickles and olives got me. Too funny!!!! I agree.

    the stole is amazing.

  3. That shawl – as my grown kids would say – kicks a$$!! Beautiful work – cannot wait to try it myself. Thanks so much for the pattern (if it’s the one I think it is – I’m across the room from my pattern stash, LOL!)
So, the inauguration – is it cramping your style? We’re far enough away (in Ellicott City) to be close enough to feel the excitement, but not have the traffic problems – and we’re getting the best seats (in our living room!). And now it’s looking like snow or a reasonable facsimile thereof – a great weekend for knitting (gee, I’d better get started!).
    Take care,
