My current work in progress:

1. Thistle and Heather Socks (my own design), knit from MacKintosh Iona in the "Maude" colorway, on 2mm needles.
2. Myriad stealth projects.

A Little Bit of This, a Little Bit of That

First off, I wanted to give you a heads up that Crystal Palace Yarns kindly linked to my Waterfall Sock pattern — here is its page on the Crystal Palace site. You’ll want to check out the free sock pattern page while you are over there, by the way.

Next on the agenda, I wanted to point you to Jacqueline’s blog, where she is holding a raffle of some awesome prizes for people who contribute to the Australian Red Cross appeal for the recent Victorian Bushfires. Donate at the Red Cross site and forward a copy of your receipt to Jacqueline at the address knittershelpingvictorians at gmail dot com — every $10 (Aus) you contribute gets you an entry in the raffle. Anyhow, you can go to her site to read all about it. There are some great prizes to be had!

I hope you all had a nice Valetine’s Day. Here’s what I gave the KOARC:

A giant heart-shaped chocolate chip cookie.

We celebrate Miss Lucy’s birthday on Valentine’s Day. She got a new toy and played with it until she was exhausted.

Love the cookie! Did you bake it yourself? And Happy Birthday to Miss Lucy. I don’t really know when my cats’ birthdays are, either… but one we celebrate on March 31 and the other on June 1. They’ll be 17 and 16 this year. Yikes!

    Have a restful weekend,

    Trish

Gizmo sez “Happy Birthday Lucy! My Mom celebrates my birthday on April 1 – I wonder why?

Congrats on being linked to Crystal Palace. I just received my Mini Mochi last week in the Neptune colorway and it’s just gorgeous and so soft, I can’t wait to get started.

I live in Victoria but am not directly affected by the bushfires. The support from other parts of the world is wonderful and so appreciated by everyone here. A group of U.S. firefighters arrived yesterday . A big thank you.

Happy Valentine’s day! We did a family thing today, went out to old Ellicott City and wandered, ate at a few places. Lovely day!

Gee, looks like Lucy romped herself into a stupor. Fun to see KOARC’s cookie – haven’t heard much about him from you lately.

Thank you for the wonderful links to warm toes & hearts. Love the cookie :) . Still wondering what your mystery projects were all about…

Congrats! They are such lovely socks. I just dyed some yarn that would be perfect…one more WIP wouldn’t hurt right?

Happy Birthday Miss Lucy! Meriodoc will be 4 on April 14 and hopes he gets a cool toy like you got.

Happy Valentine’s Day to you, and Happy Birthday to Lucy. Wow, that giant chocolate chip cookie looks daunting! I made my husband three dozen chocolate chip/butterscoth chip cookies. I have to admit, I also kept a half dozen for myself. They came out even better than usual this year, and were too good to resist.

Hope you had a relaxing, restful weekend!

    Warmly,
