My current work in progress:

Moth Cardigan, designed byAmy Christoffers, knit from Rowan SoftYak DK in the Plain colorway, using U.S. size 3 and 5 needles.

A Tale of Two Socks

It was the best of socks, it was the worst of socks.

Actually, there’s no “worst” — all socks were behaving just fine, thank you.

We did a photo-shoot for the Rib and Cable socks.

The KOARC wore them on Saturday and pronounced them nice and comfy.

The pattern will be available for sale soon — I’ll keep you posted.

And I finished the first Aimee sock.

This pattern, too will be available when I finish it.

  2. i love the new sock..I may even pay the 5.95 for shipping to get the pattern…as much as that really upsets me to pay that much…

  3. It’s nice to see you design a manly sock. Now I just have to talk my Hubby to wanting to wear a pair. I think once he felt the softness, that’s all it would take…

  11. That is what I need to work on, perfecting my lounging technique. At least I have Lucy to look up to.

  24. Love the manly socks and the Aimee socks. I have preordered your book and was asked if I thought this should be available on Kindle. Since I am a Kindle addict, I heartily agreed that it should be available on kindle so it could be with me at all times. Do the publishers ask you? Or was this just a sales gimmick?

  25. Love the socks, especially the Aimee ones.
Miss Lucy looks so comfy. Don’t disturb her. ๐Ÿ™‚

I will be in DC this coming weekend for a Commandery/Masonic laying of a wreath on the WWII Memorial. A whirlwind trip, arrive Friday afternoon and leave Sunday mid-morning. If there were more time maybe I could meet you. That would be too cool for words.

    Have a great day.

  26. I love the new pink socks, but I have a question. Where the toe ends and the design begins, there is a ridge where the stockinette stitch reverses. Is there any way to avoid that? It looks like it might be uncomfortable in a shoe.

Lucy doesn’t need any practice at lounging — she’s perfect!

  27. I love the cable and rib sock…hubby needs a new pair of socks.

  28. Aside from the fact that you don’t have 4 kids like I do.. how in the world do you knit up so many socks so quickly! I am in awh..

  29. Thanks for the fun mental image of misbehaving socks ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve finally knit two hats from the pattern in your book and will be posting them soon. I’m hoping to work through the rest of your patterns to get me up a level from hats and scarves!
