My New Box Bag

Yes, I have several 3AM Enchantments bags. No, I don’t need another bag. Then I checked this week’s shop update at The Loopy Ewe.

How could I resist one with Dala horses on it?

I mean, seriously.

I love the zipper pull, too.

Thanks, Cali for emailing the link! I love that you can clearly see the second Mason-Dixon Knitting book in the background in the LYS footage. I’ve been to that LYS — did a book signing there for my first book. And I do believe I recognize one or two of the knitters there! ;-)

Lucy Is . . .

When I first saw “Catnip”, I thought it said “Cantrip” (witch’s trick or spell), and I thought, what an AWESOME name! :)

    Catnip is good too.

Nice to have my own personal experiences confirmed by scientists and “journalists”. Knitting helps manage my stress and my pain, though I don’t know about keeping my brain protected……

  4. Cindy K

Those are some pretty sock! They’re very “sprucey” too!

    Cindy K

ps: Halloween would like to share a little catnip with Lucy.

I have tons of knitting bags, including a Namaste. My favorite is a box bag. Of course, that’s probably because it’s the perfect size for sock knitting, and well, that seems to be what I’m knitting these days.

  17. Hissy Stitch

Awww, sleepy Lucy! She’s pretty relaxed for a cat who is getting a fancy new sock named after her.

  18. Theresa in Italy

The sock is pretty, thank you for the video (I’m going to make my family watch it!), and Lucy and I are on the same page as far as sleeping habits this week. Zzzzzz….

  21. Cindy

Thanks for letting us ‘help’ with the new pattern-it is gonna be beautiful!

  22. Queen Ducky

It’s a good thing no one was having trouble with their project while they were filming. Someone swearing and throwing things would tend to demonstrate the opposite of what they were featuring. (Can you tell I’ve been having problems with my projects lately?)

  23. Anna

There is nothing more relaxing than watching a sleeping cat. And Lucy is such a doll. I never thought my suggesting for naming the socks would make it to the list. Thanks for letting us help with it. Who knows, someday I might get to knit them up….. after the three pairs that are on needles are finished.

  24. Lynn

Trellis Socks. Pop a couple of rosebuds on those socks and you’ve got a spring garden going.

  25. Seanna Lea

I’m with Lucy. So sleeeepy! That’s what I get for having a week of excessive late nights!

Have a great Easter weekend. Have ordered your book from Amazon..can’t wait to get it..

  34. Deinera

Thank you for sharing the video. I rather enjoyed it, and actually really wanted all the lovely pink yarn they were flashing about. :)

  35. karen

personally, i think you should call them lucy’s spruce tree socks. not only is it more accurate to the pattern & colorway, but try saying it three times–fast. lovely.

  36. Risa

As one of the knitters in that video, I wave to you! I remember your book signing at the store and will periodically see the pictures you posed for with my young twins while there pop up on my screen saver.

Tis a shame that store is closing June 1 :(

    Love the new socks.

What size circulars do you use? My set of dpns had 2 break in half – so I picked up a 16″ & 24″ circular, but am finding that I wish I’d gotten 2 16″. What works best for you?
