My current work in progress:

1. To-Be-Named Stole, my own design, knit from Zen Yarn Garden Serenity 20 in the "Topaz" colorway, on US 5 (3.75mm) needles.
2. Myriad stealth projects.

The Attack of the Blob

The blob has taken over my desk.

Eeeek! Run! Run!

That photo is slightly lighter than it is in reality.

Here’s a close-up that’s slightly darker than it actually is:

So if you look at both photos and squint, you might get an idea of the actual color.

I’m knitting along, knitting along. And knitting along. I’m close to 600 stitches per round now.

Three Bags Full

Check out these adorable bags:

A little project bag and matching accessory pouch from my friend Michele’s etsy shop, Three Bags Full. I love the fabric!

Michele’s bags are just beautifully made, and she uses the most adorable fabrics.

Check out the kitty bead on the zipper pull.

I also love that the project bag has a pocket inside it.

Michele also does custom work — I’ve tasked her with creating the ultimate lace knitting tote bag for me. :-)

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who bought a copy of my Exonumist’s Shawl pattern on it’s first day. I can’t wait to see your shawls in progress!

I did indeed make a “Patterns for Sale” page — it is linked to from a new tab up at the top of the blog.

Lucy Sez

Lucy072909 240x160 The Attack of the Blob

Well, Lucy doesn’t say anything because she is fast asleep, worn out from showing off for the blog over the past few days. I gave her the day off.

When I did my first shawl it didnt look like anything…atleast when we look at yours it has some definition and you can actually see the pattern…I love it..

The kitty zipper pull is to die for…

I think the shawl still looks pretty harmless; I’ll start running when it takes over the bowling alley!

  6. Kim B.

Thank you for publishing the shawl pattern so quickly. I just downloaded mine from the Ravelry site and now am pondering what fingering weight yarn to use. I hoped Lucy came with the download, but alas she didn’t! LOL I loved yesterday’s photos of her upside down.

I can’t wait to see this shall when it’s done. The colors and stitch definition are wonderful.

  9. Hissy Stitch

Oooh, kitty print bags! I’ve got to find out where these crafty people find these beautiful fabrics. It’s not at our local chain-store fabric shop, I’ll tell you that!

Love the shawl but regarding the colour….it unfortunately reminds me of algae in the waterers. It’s been a very, very wet summer here.

  12. Rachel

Love all the shades of green!

Wendy, I love the graduation of color in The Blob. The gentle drape is apparent even in the photo. I can only imagine it’s smooshiness…

  14. Seanna Lea

I love the kitty zipper pull on the bag. Very cute. I really want to make one of these shawls, but I apparently only buy my yarn in lots for the small shawls (400-600 yds). Oh horror. I might have to buy more yarn!

  15. Helene

I love how Lucy can sleep all curled on her back like that. My 57-pound dog does that and it makes me laugh.

  16. Judy B

Nice color whatever exact shade it is.

  17. addi knitting

The cat bag is adorable. The fabric is very unique and the zipper pull is a very nice touch.

  18. Mary

600 stitches! I thought that had to be a typo and then realized whose blog I was reading. Hope the blob behaves itself while you sleep…start to run if you hear weird smooshy noises coming down the hall!
