I was off work today for an appointment, and got to spend a good chunk of my day at home, so I was able to witness firsthand Lucy’s busy day.
She started off with some happy wriggling.
This went on for a while.
But she did make time to critique my knitting.
This was apparently a very tiring chore, because she settled down for a nap after that.
But she woke up when the mail came, because there was a prezzie for her!
This is a “Plague Rat” and Lucy seems quite taken with it.
Lucy sez:
“Thank you, Quesselchens!”
Well, she would thank you if she were not too busy with her rat. 
Wow Lucy, I hope you recovered from that exhausting and event-filled day!

ha ha! I work from home and I can assure you that my little guy Henry has some very tiring days like these all the time! Sometimes he makes it to 10am before needing another nap!

Glad she likes her rat. Lucy deserves to be spoiled! And a day like that is truely tireing, we humans just don’t know! All that excercise..

Poor cat. You wonder how they ever make it through their days, don’t you? My little girl is the same way.
You know, this post reminded me of just how much cats have to do in any given day. No wonder they are so tired …
it is amazing how busy your little friends are……now that i am home everyday it is interesting that my two little doggies get up at 5am or earlier and have so much to do that they need to take a namp by 7am. and it i don’t make a place for them by me they get huffy! i think my day is now ruled by the needs of the dogs!
Thanks for the plague rat link. I’ve ordered two for our meezers. (The shipping was equal to the cost of a rat, so DH suggested I should go ahead and order two rats, as it didn’t increase the shipping. Love the way that man thinks!)

I just love watching the kitty dance on the rug! It does look like hard work, though. She’s a brave kitty to keep up such a strenuous routine.
The dogs hate it when I’m home, they feel the need to check out what I’m doing, and it cuts into their 12 hours of daytime sleep.

Oh no…..it’s bad enough that every time you put up a pattern, I cannot resist and must buy. NOW I have to buy a plague rat. Or three. How many plague rats will suffice for 7 cats?
That does sound like a very busy day – wouldn’t be surprised if she had several naps to recover!
Gosh, so much more busy than my kitty. When I was home sick earlier this week, she did nothing but sleep next to me in bed all morning.
