Your supervisor would like to let you know it is time for your annual performance review. She is mostly pleased with your performance but would like more wildside salmon and other goodies.

Did LB pick out that color for your next sock design? It is periwinkle-ish right? lol.

  3. Hannah

That blue sock color is WOW!

  4. Celestine Getty

You have been most generous with giving us a chance to will books and other nice things, Are you going to give us a chance to win some of your “lousy box of wollmeise yarn”? A girl can hope!!!!;0)

I can see that your supervisor disapproves of your performance, as she is not currently being petted, fed treats, or lying on a pile of lovely knitting.

My supervisor recently discovered the joys of one of the scarves I just knit, and so far my performance rating has improved to passable.

    LOL at the periwinkle yarn!!

  7. LeenieBeenie

Your supervisor looks like mine (also a cat) they always want you to be busy so they don’t have to be.

I’m curious what is that paper with the keyboard-like diagram under the droid. Are those knitting symbols?

  9. Liz in KY

My supervisor Flossie is unhappy with me right now and sitting with her back to me because I won’t let her into the sewing room. My bodyguard Bingley, on the other hand, is sound asleep on the floor here in the study – quite the guard cat.

    Love the periwinkle Shibui!

A November day in Our Nation’s Capital?! It looks disappointingly similar to a November day in, say, Indianapolis or Wichita… But your supervisor looks splendid.

Love the periwinkle – my bathroom color – happy color – and why do you only need one supervisor? It takes 3 at my house – no need for alpaca yarn as everything has hair in it. I think I need the periwinkle yarn too!

  14. Lynn

Pardon me, but isn’t Lucy more along the lines of your owner rather than your supervisor?

Lucy is the cutest! I had a cat friend named Max that would cuddle with me all the time, but he has since passed away. Your Lucy looks so much like him it makes my heart ache everytime I see a picture of her. I still have Max’s sister (who doesn’t look anything like Lucy) still around, though.

terrywinkle! terrywinkle! I have a large skein of that (600 yards, I think), and want to make it into knee socks. I think you should make knee socks out of yours since you have so much of it :-) . It’s a great yarn.

I view your website to get new ideas for myself, but also for the book comments. Keep ‘em coming because they all inspire me!

Thanks for your wonderful blog. I’m addicted to reading it every day, generally while waiting for the bus, in spite of how long it takes the blackberry to load photos some days. I got inspired to knit socks because of you, but now am designing a sweater for a Doberman. What?!! She gets cold here in snowy Colorado!

  20. Polly

Cute mittens! A name? How about “Winter Crossing”
    Polly

Mittens? I think a good name would be ” Cathedral Window”. Looks like those beautiful windows in a Cathedral. Have a Great Thanksgiving!!!
