This is just a quick post because I’m going out of town in the morning and I have of course left everything packing-related to the last minute.
I’ll pack CeCe last, so I can work on it tonight.
So instead of blogging, I’m getting my stuff together.

Many knitting blogs, but I only read yours.
1) Love all the info on the iPad (I am torn between an iTouch and the iPad, especially for travel).
2) I just returned from Washington, DC and visited FIBER SPACE in Alexandria while I was there. I am now trying Miss Woodhouse shawlette (in Smooshy in Night Watch(deep blues)). I’m having a lot of fun with it.
3) Question:I originally tried to knit the shawlette in a lace weight 100% silk, and I had a terrible time. The yarn was so slithery, and seemed to jump around. Any advice on what to make with silk yarn? Any tips on how to handle it?
4) I so enjoyed your webcast with the 2 southern knitters. In it you discussed several favorite sock yarns. What were they again? None of the brands you mentioned were ones I am familiar with.
5) I am just about finished with Rosebud Socks, in a local hand-dye of pink/brown. They are coming out great. I used Judy’s Magic cast on, and 2 circs for the foot and heel, and then 4 dps for the leg. What fun, and a small project to travel with. (To keep from using the other (wrong) needle, I use one addi (silver tip) for the sole and one addi lace (gold tip) for the pattern. The colors help me see which one to grab.)
6) I also took your new book, Toe-Up Socks for Everybody, to Kinko’s and had them spiral bind it (costs $6.00). Now it has clear plastic covers and opens flat.
