The lace pattern I’m using for the body of this is very simple, but I am really loving the way it looks!

Future project:

This is Tempted Good Grrl yarn in the “Moondance” colorway. I’ll be using it to knit Laura Linneman’s Thin Ice shawl. I bought the pattern earlier this week and then hopped over to The Loopy Ewe and bought the yarn. I think it’ll make a beautiful Thin Ice.

Knitting to commence as soon as I finish my current project.

Yesterday afternoon after work I settled down to my favorite Monday activity: watching the latest Knitgirllls videocast while working on my current project. It was during the videocast that I discovered that Laura has declared this coming Sunday “Knit On Whatever the Heck You Want Day.” What a great idea!

For some of us in the U.S., this coming weekend is a holiday weekend: Monday is Columbus Day and I am lucky enough to have the day off. (One of the advantages of being a fed — federal holidays!) That makes “Knit On Whatever the Heck You Want Day” even better in my opinion. I can stay up late and watch fun stuff on tv while I knit on whatever the heck I want.

I think I’ll start knitting this:

This yummy skein is MadelineTosh Vintage in the”Ms Taylor” colorway and it is going to become another Super Slouch Hat, the fourth variation I will have done for this pattern.

This hat will be my Fourth Quarter Loopy Ewe Challenge as well.

Other New Stuff

Last week there was a Piddleloop shop update and I was very happy to snag a large wedge bag, this one featuring Mr. Sheep:

Isn’t it cute? I love it! The large wedge bags are plenty big enough to hold a substantial chunk o’ knitting.

Speaking of a substantial chunk o’ knitting, I have done a fair bit on the front of my current sweater.

I am working on stealth projects for commuter knitting, so this is an at-home project only. That means that the majority of my work on it happens on weekends. So there is little knitting time during the week (though I did carve out a nice chunk of knitting time while watching the Knitgirllls yesterday).

I’ve finished the back of my sweater.

I’ve started the front.

And Lucy is thinking about hunkering down for a nap.
