My current work in progress:

1. Mighty Mini, designed by Rachel Henry, knit from Socks That Rock Worthy in the "Tanzanite" and "The Green That Sings" colorways on a 3.0 mm needle.
2. Myriad stealth projects.

Pieces

I’ve got a back.

Back021212 214x240 Pieces

I’ve got a front.

Front021212 213x240 Pieces

I’ve got part of the first sleeve.

Sleeve021212 240x191 Pieces

So things are progressing.

The plan for this afternoon is to join the back and front and knit the neckband, then return to the sleeve and perhaps finish that today. All while watching the remaining episodes of Downton Abbey I have to watch.

Winner!

The random prize winner selection thingie has chosen Seafair Narr (aka Olivia’s mom) to win the book from “the Color Guys.” Thanks to everyone who entered to win.

And as you can see, Lucy is all ready for the Downton Abbey marathon.

  3. Nice sweater.

I’ve been trying to be patient and just watch Downton on PBS. I’m envious that you will get to know what happens. I know I could break down and buy the DVD, but I’d like to save the money for a sweater project. Enjoy your Downton afternoon.

  4. Looking very nice! I can’t wait until you get it finised

  5. I’m confused — the picture you posted the other day said Season 2, but I thought that was the season currently airing, so how could you have the DVD already? I know you get knitting swag to review, but if you’re getting pre-season copies of DA, I am seriously impressed, and am going to quit my day job to start blogging full time!

  6. What a lovely pink spring sweater this is going to be!

Can’t wait for tonight’s episode! Rest up, Lucy!

  7. I am so impressed that you can knit through Downton Abbey. I have to turn on the captions and read/listen.

  8. The gansey is just stunning and in time for spring wear! I have made a few of these for my boys years ago but never thought of one for me. I hope you would allow me a question. When you knit your hemming are you using the same size needle or going down a size or two? Your sweters seem to have a nice drape on the lower hems but maybe it is just that I am looking at a cotton blend yarn that you are working with. Thank you Wendy. Oh and give Lucy big hugs from me!

  9. Love the color, how does it wash? I have some shrinkage in cotton.

  10. Very nice. Looks like it’s going to be a crew neck? (Sorry if you already said that and I just missed it.)

Tonight’s episode of DA was great. Sounds as though next week may be the end of Season 2. These “seasons” are far too short to rightfully be called a season. :(

  11. Susan Shelly says:

I really love the color of this sweater too! Also – love it when kitties curl up like Lucy is with their heads upside down;O))

  12. Downtton Abbey rocks!

  13. I like the subtle wave pattern. It does something to my eyes.

  14. Shirley. in PA says:

Your sweater is looking so lovely, both the color and the wave pattern. I also love DA, and am thinking of buying the DVDs.

  15. Your sweater is coming along great guns. I’m quite a bit slower than that. Every time I see your progress it makes me want to be more project monogamous. Unfortunately that only seems to last until the next shiny thing!
