My current work in progress:

1. Strandwanderer, designed by Lea Viktoria, knit from Wollmeise Merino "Pure" in the "Zenzi" colorway on a 3.25 mm (U.S. size 3) needle.
2. Myriad stealth projects.

Sleeve Achieved

Here is the first sleeve for the Maidenhair Cardigan:

I’m working on the second sleeve now:

I decided to do the sleeves before the front pieces of the cardigan for no particular reason. Just because I can!

Lucy’s New Perch

Earlier this week I got a Petstages Snuggle Scratch and Rest for Lucy. (They really should change the name of that thing!)

I first learned about the item from reading a review of it at Floppycats.com, my favorite Ragdoll site. (Aside: be sure to watch the video review of the product at that link. So cute!) I checked out the Amazon.com reviews as well, and it seems that kitties universally love this thing.

Lucy is apparently no exception.

I opened one of these today’s for my two cats. They like it. It arrived from Amazon yesterday.

  4. Oh, my Samson would love that!
The pattern on that sleeve is lovely!

  5. haha! sleeve is lovely, my 2 cats and 3 kittens all clamored for the cat bowl, so we ordered it!
    you should get a commission!

Made from corrugated board like boxes, kitties LOVE boxes, therefore kitty likes new toy from mom…everyone happy! :-)

  8. Lucy’s not spoiled, just loved…

Knitting sleeves first is a great idea because sleeves just go on and on and on and on …. I think people have gone to sleep for days just knitting sleeves so it’s best to knit them first whilst you’re still awake. They wouldn’t be so bad if you could ‘turn’ an elbow to mark the halfway point like socks, would it?

I wish a cat owned me now I’ve seen that video! After our beloved Burmese, Dixie, died aged 22, we started feeding the wild birds to pay back for the ones Dixie ‘borrowed’ so now we just enjoy other people’s when we visit them – and take a load of cat hair home with us as a memento!

Just placed my order for this and three more of their items.
It will be a kitty present bonanza!

  11. Thanks for sharing about the scratch and rest! Too cute!

  12. Wendy, your sweater is coming along beautifully, as usual. But mostly I’m commenting now to thank you for continuing to blog. A BUNCH of blogs I’d been following have just stopped dead in recent months. But you, who started blogging early on, are still here, and I’m grateful. thanks for sharing with us.

  13. We had one like that bowl, but it was rectangular, our cat LOVED it, but she destroyed it fairly quickly, and it was very messy!

  14. Kim Veach says:

Got the bed for my cats and can’t believe how much they like it. They’ve never shown interest in any cat-specific item before. I’m having to order another one now because they both want to be in it at the same time:) Thanks for blogging about it.
