Cat Days

The winner of my review copy of Deck the Halls: 20+ Knitted Christmas Ornaments is Alice Moisen, who has been emailed. Thanks to everyone who entered the giveaway.

Yesterday was International Cat Day, so Loki and I have been celebrating This weekend Loki has played, napped, ate and slept, so he is keeping up his end of the bargain in his employment as my cat.

I have been happily knitting along on Match & Move. Here is the state of it right now:

I have 10 more rows to knit in the current stripe, and then two more 48-row stripes to work, so I am on track to finish before the Camp Loopy deadline. It is nicely mindless knitting at this point, and I love the colors, but I am also looking ahead to starting something a bit more challenging.

Loki sez:

“It really is hard work being a cat!”

Like be that shawl! I have the yarn ready to go, but I must finish my camp project first. I chose a sweater. What was I thinking? Anyways Happy Cat Day to Loki!

  2. Amy Schulze says:

So much for auto correct! Love that shawl!

Loki looks like he enjoyed the holiday and just needs a few gentle head to tail strokes to fall asleep.
    Have a great week. M

  4. I’m knitting this shawl, right now. I’m using Wollmeise 80/20 twin.

  5. I’m knitting this shawl too but yours looks to be a slightly different shape on the end that you are knitting. Have you modified the pattern some Wendy?

  6. Denise Wessman says:

Love the shawl. I will have to knit it. Thanks for sharing. Finishing the scalloped edge of 22.5. Mindless knit. Sometimes it just feels right. Give Loki a belated cat hug.

  7. I bought this pattern after you mentioned that you would be starting it. I’m not as far along as you are. It is a lot of garter stitch! I am trying to knit my stash down to the the very minimum, so I decided to use some of my scrap yarn to start. Still getting the striping, but not as Martina has written in the pattern. It will be the ultimate stash buster, or a disaster, but so far so good!

  8. Thank you for the contest! The shawl is beautiful. :o)

Got the book. Lots of fun ahead. Thanks
