My current work in progress:

Freshet, by Irina Anikeeva for Brooklyn Tweed’s Wool People 13, knit from Rowan Softyak DK in the Steppe colorway, using 3.75mm and 4mm needles.

Love and Happiness

My Love and Happiness Cowl is coming along nicely.

I have three skeins of the yarn (Hedgehog Fibres Merino Singles in the “Teacup” colorway) and I just started the third skein. Using my razor-sharp math skills, I have figured out that puts me at two-thirds complete. This is my June Camp Loopy project, so I am in good shape for finishing by the end of the month.

I plan on concentrating on knitting until this project is done. But I did sneak in a sewing project this week before declaring a temporary stoppage on sewing.

Julie is wearing a 70s maxi dress made from 4 different batik cottons, and some embroidered trim.

I have to go — Loki says it is snuggle time!

Love, love, love both the cowl and the sweet outfit, Wendy! ?

  3. What a beautiful doll’s dress.

I love the teacup in that pattern, who would ever have imagined they would work so well together, just lovely.

  4. The cowl is beautiful; love the yarn. How long is it going to be? Looks like it will wrap around the neck many times. Loki is beautiful

  5. The cowl looks so cushy, and I see it coordinates with the pillow! Love the hippie dress and hair- a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love?

  6. Love that colorway! And, your sewing, especially once I knew it was hand-sewing, blows me away. You’re very skilled!

  7. Love the maxi dress. Now she needs a fake-fur maxi-coat! And don’t forget the love beads. Like the cowl and the yarn you are using.

  8. Oh my, what a lovely dress! Back in “those days” I had a large floppy suede hat that I wore with everything except my Sunday best. I love that cowl too!
Loki is standing, that means he’s serious!

Your cowl is looking good! And the sewing projects are amazing. The jean jacket and jeans in your last post are fantastic! And the maxi dress is good – sadly, I’m old enough to remember the day…I wore a granny gown to school in grade 10 and felt like a flower child (excuse me while I laugh).
