My current work in progress:

We Interrupt This Cardi

. . . for another cardi!

On August 1, I set aside my Comfort Fade Cardi and started my August Camp Loopy project: Bristol Ivy’s Newsom.

I am using Shalimar Enzo Sport in the “Thistle” colorway, which is sort of a faded denim blue.

My work-in-progress photo looks a bit faded:

The color in the yarn photo is much more accurate.

This cardi has a interesting construction and so far is a very fun knit!

How Long Will It Take?

Loveknitting.com has added a nifty new tool to their site — a calculator that will give you an idea of how long different projects will take. The tool is here — do not be alarmed by the title of the page: Knitting for Christmas. Yes, it’s really not too early to be thinking about holiday knitting! Give the calculator a try!

Wow! I have serious project envy right now. 😀 Newsom’s interesting shaping looks fun to knit. The Thistle colorway is perfection.

Loki is adorable as always. His kitty couch has an intriguing shape too, makes me think “how could I knit that?”

  2. The tool is neat. Thanks for sharing. The wip looks great.

  3. Robin F. says:

Love the color you chose. My camp project is a denim-like color to match Paul Newman’s eyes in Butch Cassidy.

  4. What a fun time calculator!

I just ordered a ton of yarn with no idea what I’d use it for. I think I know now. Love that cardi pattern!

  5. LOve the thistle color for your sweater. I just now (well tonight) ordered that scratch pad Loki is using for my own herd of cats. Hope they like it as much!
