Thanks!

Hey, thanks for all the lovely birthday greetings in the comments. I really appreciate them!

Lucy and I had a nice quiet day yesterday. In celebration of my birthday, I even turned on the heat. ;-)

There were a few questions in the comments about my Crest o’ the Wave Scarf.

I’m doing 7 repeats of the pattern, with 5 edge stitches on each side that I’m working in garter stitch.

I think I’ll stop knitting at the halfway point and cast on again for the second half, and work in to the center, then join the two halves.

There were questions about the size needle I’m using — it’s a U.S. 6 (4mm).

FYI, information about my current work in progress is always posted in my sidebar, over on the right side of the page. Pattern, needle size, and what information I have about the yarn can always be found there.

And if you are on Ravelry, I keep my project notebook pretty well updated with this info as well — my Ravelry username in “wendyknits.”

I’m feeling the need to snuggle with this little girl:

So I’ll sign off for now and be back next week!

Hi WEndy! I really like the new scarf. Will you be publishing the pattern once it’s finished? Anyway, have a great weekend!

At least poor Lucy has recovered her dignity!

Snuggling with kitties is an excellent way to spend an evening.

Out of curiosity, does the yarn you’re using have a colourway name, or is it a unique dyelot? Yellow and purple aren’t usually colours that I like together, but when I see that yarn, it reminds me of flowers in the spring, and it puts me in a happy state of mind. (Anything that can remind me of springtime when it’s thins freaking cold here is a thing to be cherished!)

yep - snuggling with a kitty-girl is always a good idea when it’s chilly. Congrats on turning on the heat! I’m sure Lucy appreciates it.

I really love the stitch pattern for your scarf. It goes especially well with the variegated yarn. :-)

I’m sitting here on the couch on this freezing night hemmed in by two snuggling fur balls. Can you hear them purring?! Have a terrific weekend.

Does Lucy ever get tired of being so heartbreakingly adorable? I am suffering the urge to snuggle kitty belly.

Happy belated birthday wishes, Wendy! It’s been a “three-cat night” in my bed the past couple - zero degrees and less! Cat heat rules!

Hi Wendy, I think this colorway lookes terrific. It’s unusual, and fresh. It really makes the scarf unique!

Hi, again. Wendy, I am wondering if you have seen
Cat Bordihi’s book, “New Pathways for Sock Knitters” ?
I found the book filled with many new ideas for sock knitting.

Out of 8 master patterns that she shows as templetes,
6 patterns are tow-up, no grafting, so that I thought you may like it……..
