Uncle!

by Wendy on June 2, 2008

Internet Explorer does not like the javascript for the poll I posted yesterday. While it works okay in Firefox and Safari browsers, I’m being inundated with emails and Ravelry messages, so I am deleting the poll and will try again when the Wordpress poll plug-in is repaired. The Wordpress plug-in script was not working, which is why I used an “outside” poll in the first place.

Sorry for the problems. Oy.

You could rearrange the order of the haiku’s when you repost the survey to see if the people will reread them or just vote for the number they voted for before. Sneaky.8*)

I stopped using Internet Explorer when I got into Ravelry because it just wasn’t user friendly anymore. I have been very happy with Firefox. Hope you can get the poll working again, how frustrating.

LOVE the Haiku’s. It’ll be hard to pick a favorite. Such Talent! (mine didn’t make the final list, and I can certainly see why.) Twisty bits are vey pretty.

Sorry about your poll problems. I hope it’s an easy solution. And I cant’ wait ( well, actually I can, no pressure) to see that twisty pattern.

Thank you for the update, I had problems with my computer this weekend, I jsut thought it was me. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to read your blog. Glad I can, and will vote when the poll is back up. Thank you for thinking of all your fans.

Hi - did you know that your Bloglines feed puts ads at the bottom? I thought this was odd because none of my other feeds have ads and I have never seen ads on your site other than your book (totally understandable!). It’s not that I mind so much; just thought you should know.

Like Sheila, I blamed my computer at first. Hope it’s not too much of a headache to fix the problem and get the poll up and running again!

I noticed those ads too and meant to mention it to you at the Fling, but was having too much fun to remember.

hope the poll gets fixed soon

Ah, what you don’t have to go through for our viewing pleasure!
Aren’t computer problems just the pits? You could be knitting!

After I cleared cache/cookies and restarted the computer I figured it was an IE issue so downloaded Firefox and was able to read. Since Netscape closed down I went reluctantly to IE. So now I have Firefox… just in case!

One more reason I love Firefox.
