My original sock patterns are available for sale at:
The Exonumist’s Shawl
This shawl is knit from a light fingering weight yarn (Ella Rae Lace Merino) on a US 4 (3.5mm) needle, at an unblocked gauge of 5 st/inch. I used just under 3 skeins at 460 yards per skein. I’m estimating 1380 – 1400 yards for the pattern.
Unblocked it is 45″ in diameter. You can block it out to at least 60″. To make it a bit larger, you can knit more rounds of the last body pattern (adjusting of course your yarn amounts.)
It is knit in the round, starting from a longtail cast-on in the center of the shawl.
Available for $5.00 (delivered via pdf download):
Order To Chaos Shawl
This shawl is knit from a fingering weight yarn (Dream in Color Smooshy) on a US 5 (3.75mm) needle, at an unblocked gauge of 5 st/inch. I used 3.25 skeins at 450 yards per skein. I’m estimating 1500 yards for the pattern.
Unblocked it is 48″ in diameter. You can block it out to at least 66″. To make it a bit larger, you can knit more rounds of the last body pattern (adjusting of course your yarn amounts.)
It is knit in the round, starting from a longtail cast-on in the center of the shawl.
Available for $5.00 (delivered via pdf download):
Sandvik Faroese Shawl
This shawl is knit from laceweight yarn (Black Bunny Fibers alpaca/shetland blend) on a US 3 (3.25mm) needle at an unblocked gauge of 6 sts/8 rows to the inch. I used between 900 — 1000 yards.
You can make the shawl longer or shorter by simply knitting more or fewer rows. The bottom is finished with a seed stitch band
Unblocked: 52” across the top edge (wingspan), 22” down the center back
Lightly Blocked: 64” across the top edge (wingspan), 26” down the center back
Available for $5.00 (delivered via pdf download):
Faro Easy Shawl
An easy Faroese-style shawl knit from the bottom up that takes 600 – 650 yards of dk/light worsted yarn. (Model knit in Lorna’s Laces Pearl.)
