My current work in progress:

Stornoway, designed by Alice Starmore from her book Fishermen’s Sweaters, knit in Frangipani 5-ply guernsey wool in the Aran colorway, on a 3.0mm needle.

Valtos Update — again!

Ivete suggested that maybe I ought to try using the close-up setting on my camera to photograph Valtos. Thanks Ivete! I obviously need to do some tweaking, but I think that’ll help alot. Look here. It’s a little fuzzy, but you can see the pattern better.

And just for grins, here is a pic of a ball of the yarn.

  1. Wendy, I find when I use my ‘flower’ setting my pics are nearly ALWAYS blurry as I need to use the LCD display on the back to aim the camera and it’s not as steady that way – when I was photoging my Impatience Cardigan, I set the camera to ‘document’ (in the menu, it’s not a specific button) so it would capture the dark/light contrast of the shadows better, it turned out very well.
