My current work in progress:

Seaforth designed by Alice Starmore, knit in British Breeds 5-ply Guernsey Wool on US 3 needles.

Even more old stuff!

(Can you stand it?)

Blue Fair Isle

This sweater is — I think — from the same issue of Knitters as the Jean Frost sweater featured in last week’s blog — issue 32, was it? Can anybody confirm?

This one is done in the traditional fair isle manner, in the round, with armhole and neck steeks. Here’s a view of the inside steek, showing how it’s held up all these years.

Inside Armhole Steek

I knitted this using Bovidae Farm sportweight. I love their yarn! Once again, you can contact them via email at:

I took Fulmar to work yesterday and worked on it on the train. That got some attention. And I took a daylight photo of it. Click here to see it.

And just for grins, for a photo of my office, click here.

And this is the view from my office window:

I worked on my Knitty project last night and made some good progress.

Last but not least, Izzy says to have a good weekend!

  1. Yup, it is in the same issue. Also in Ann Feitelson’s Art of Fair Isle Knitting. It has been on my list to do for a long time- beautiful!

  2. I guess that means it’s an Ann Feitelson design, huh? ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks, Judy!

  3. Caroline F says:

Pretty! Please don’t stop with the old knitting, it’s my favorite thing every morning!

  4. Wendy…I haven’t commented this week, but I like everyone else have been loving seeing your oldies but goodies! You are an awesome knit diva!

I also enjoy seeing your work space and window…I think it would be fun if we all posted a pic of our work space and window (if lucky enough to have one…inside the home or out).

I’m going to see if I can do that today or Monday. Just not sure if I have the readship momentum to get a blog wide thing going – but we’ll see.

BTW – thanks for adding me to your ‘Daily Reads’, I’ll try not to disappoint you!

  5. Yah, workspace photos would be fun! I think everyone should post one!

  6. Lindsey-Brooke says:

Another lovely sweater,Wendy—you have a keen eye for color combinations!

  7. I agree, Wendy is definitely a knit diva!

Will gladly post pics of my backyard, but only very close friends (who won’t run away screaming or call the health dept on me) are allowed to see the inside of the house!

  8. Caroline, we’re all your very close friends! ๐Ÿ™‚
