My current work in progress:

Seaforth designed by Alice Starmore, knit in British Breeds 5-ply Guernsey Wool on US 3 needles.

The Mouse-a-thon Raffle will be postponed for a couple of days.

Sorry guys. I did get the package from Rose, which included mousies from her and from Becky in France, Natalie in Peterborough, Ont., Canada, and Emma in the UK, and a separate package from Sue in Bend, OR. Thanks to all of you!

But the entries Jen sent haven’t arrived yet though I bet they will by Monday.

I’ve updated the mouse total to reflect those received. Cool huh?

You may now return to your regularly scheduled weekend and I’ll see you Monday.

  1. Wendy, I was just reading your blog and did have anything to comment about or anything but just now my cat jumped on my desk and sat down and looked at the computer screen. She was Izzy’s picture on the page and touched it with her paw and then kissed it! I scrolled down a bit to show her Lucy but she didn’t react even though they look the same – it was totally cute and random 🙂

  2. *Sigh* I guess I can wait. (Actually, the only real downside is that more entries will decrease my odds of winning!)

Speaking of Izzy… A co-worker of mine has to give up his cat (toddler incompatibility issues) and I gave him the link for the rescue organization where you found Lucy. Is it ironic that his cat’s name is Izzy? I would have taken her myself if I thought my feline mafia would accept an outsider. (They’re all from a litter, and very insular.)

  3. Hi Wendy!
I’ve just purchased yarn to knit the Elizabethan JAcket from JS’ Collectors’ edition. Before starting, I wanted to see your comments on working the design -but alas! it seems EJ is from a time before the blog. I’ts a shame, because I like reading your opininons on the designs I’m knitting myself -they have saved me more than once whan struggling with a technical detail.
BTW, I was thrilled to see that your Mom and Dad ? have Finnish roots, when you mentioned their trip to Vaasa this past summer. But I gather your father is of Finnish -Swedish heritage? Do you speak “finlandssvenska”?
