Okay, here’s how I increased my stash on Wednesday.
First off, two skeins of extraordinarily yummy Spirit Trail Fiberworks yarn — a gift from L-B. This is Bluefaced Leicester and it’s wonderful!
And look at this darling little wooden box. L-B put Lucy’s catnip mouse in this, and now Lucy and I are having ownership issues!
At Knit Happens I ordered Daletta yarn for Ingeborg, so that will be forthcoming. I also bought a skein of Trekking sock yarn.
I’m a sucker for browns!
And I was lusting after this beautiful kettle-dyed Manos, two skeins of which begged to come home with me.
I got two pattern books for Noro yarns.
And I bought something else to make a gift for someone who reads my blog. So it will have to remain a secret.
Flora
Here’s my Flora progress. I made it past the garter stitch bottom band into the pattern. Yay, me.
By the way, the Flora button I showed you the other day was purchased online from Gardenofbeaden.com.
Surprise!
This is an Alice Starmore tour t-shirt and two skeins of Regia tweedy sock yarn, sent to me by Mia in Maryland. What fun! Thank you!

wendy, thanks for the button info 🙂 can o please ask what color manos yu got, that yarn is yummy!
Vanessa, the color # is 110 — isn’t it wonderful?
Yey stash enhancement! I bought the Cornelia Tuttle Noro book last fall I think with the hopes of making Julita or Karlso, but alas… The book sits in my pile of “maybe one day.” Beautiful colors in that Manos – almost makes me want to give up on my monochramatic theme!
I bought the Cornelia Tuttle book when I was in Seattle last and am making the bag on the back in Manos #101. Also want to make Casper for first GS who should be making his appearance any minute now. Manos is my new favorite yarn for misc. knitting, but I will probably use Kureyon for Casper.
Ohhh, just Googled for Spirit Trail Fiberworks yarn as it was mentioned to be a favorite at MSW last year but not on-line yet – and now it is! And what a beautiful web-site.
Thanks Wendy, I found some great fiber to spin on my new wheel:o)
What are you going to make with the Spirit Trail Fiberworks yarn – it is mouth watering as is the Manos yarn.
Lucy’s yesterday picture was priceless!
Have a happy weekend Wendy and Lucy.
Love that Bluefaced Leicester; any idea yet what it’s destined to be?
What’s the story behind the Alice Starmore Tour T-shirt?
Ooooh, that Manos is to die for!
I’ve been reading The Spirit Trail for a while but didn’t even realize she had yarn. Thanks for the tip 🙂
Bluefaced Leicester rocks! So soft and squishy…the colorway you bought is beautiful!
Wow! Wendy Johnson in an honest-to-goodness yarn shop? Really!?! Do the ladies at Knit Happens even have a clue what a monumental occasion this was?? 🙂 Hee Hee! Nice to see ya, L-B!
I’m still giggling about the cashmere mouse – it makes such perfect sense for a gal like Lucy! Perfect giftie.
Yes,Geane, I’m not a phantom!I guess if Wendy can enter a real yarn shop,I can show my face! 😉
Hey, Wendy!
Is that yummy Manos, by chance, the “Stellar” colorway? If so, I, too, gave in to temptation and nabbed two skeins that became a Multi-Directional Diagonal scarf. It came in very handy when snow struck Puget Sound in January and my thin blood thought I was still in California! ;D
I’m having Manos envy. Looking forward to seeing what magic you work with it.
I saw the following and thought of you –
