Weekend Update

I finished knitting Lisa. Ain’t she cute?

It’s a lousy photo, but it’s all you’re getting. I wasn’t in the mood for a modeling shot.

And I finished the back of the Lauren tank, and started the front. Here is the front ribbing, reclining gracefully.

And here is a pretty decent close-up, I took with my macro lens and natural light. It’s a pretty good representation of the color, at least on my monitor.

Lucy had a lovely weekend. She had a lot of fun visiting with some special guests on Saturday night and also spent a lot of quality time with her Daddy.

  1. Huhu, is this Lucy’s daddy knitting?? I am impressed! Love Lisa, and I am looking forward to seeing Lauren completed, since I adore the lime shade you choose. Have a wonderful week!

  2. oh, what a cute stash jar. and lisa looks fab. i am so into ribs right now. and that close-up of lauren is just luscious. and i didn’t realize that lucy’s daddy knitted too. that’s great!

  3. So have we now discovered the mystery knit student? ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. OH- I see- homegrow your own test-knitters! Smart, very smart ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. I’ve been trying to get my husband interested in knitting forever. He says he wishes he had a hobby like knitting…but he isn’t interested!

  6. Yes I was also wondering if Lucy’s dad was KNITTING. Too cool.

  7. If you’re still going to want test knitters, I’m so up for Lisa or Lauren. Do you find the twisted rib to lean a bit? I always do and don’t know if I’m missing out on some secret trick.

  8. Hey, That’s not the secret to your speed, is it?

  9. Oh that lime colored alchemy is just Too Gorgeous….yum! I love the last photo…somehow it reminds me of a Wallace and Gromit episode…..

  10. And, what is Ian knitting, hm-m-m?

The color of Alchemy is just beautiful.

    Have a good Monday.

  11. The lime green is just beautiful. I might have to put that on my wish list.

Is the Critter Knitter’s collection period over? Are you pleased with the results?

  12. The color variations in the Alchemy are just lovely. What a beautiful color!

Lisa looks like she’s going to look great AND be comfortable! Who could ask for more?

  13. You’ve got Ian knitting? Good work! ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Lisa looks great! And that close-up of the green is making me drool…what bee-yoo-tee-full yarn.

My man won’t even let me show him how to do one stitch…but I think it’s because he knows he might like it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. How very cool that he’s knitting – and Lucy looks so proud (as proud as you can with your back to the camera, lol) of him! ๐Ÿ™‚ It looks like he’s been making some good progress!

  16. Lisa is very cute….bet she looks cute on, too. Are you going to model it for us later? Hope so. Can’t wait to see Lauren when she’s finished. She looks like she would be so “delicious” to wear.

  17. So, you have found a way to get Lucy off your lap & onto Ian’s during the hot summer months. Does the drugs authority know you have made Lucy an addict to yarn??

  18. Sitting in front of the tv with idle hands drives me crazy. I’ve tried to get my dh to knit but he just wants to sit and veg out. What to do?

  19. What is Ian making?

  20. Hey, you can get him to knit all of your sleeves!
