Still Life With Messy Office

As you can see, the Un-Named Shawl accompanied me to work today.

That’s my Emily Lace Bag (in the extremely cute Dala Horses fabric) behind it.

Don’t think my office looks too messy? Here is the view on the other side of my ‘puter.

What do you think? Do I need a few more photos of Lucy?

I’ve Got Paw Floof/On a Cloudy Day

Who doesn’t like a bit of paw floof now and then?

Lucy is now wondering if I’m nuts.

  1. I love paw floof. It’s so floofy and I like to pet it.
.-= southparknitter (aka Timmie!)´s last blog ..On the go =-.

  2. You call that messy? You should see DH’s cave. I’d take a picture but I can’t get in the door. He’s assembling a new desk.

  3. Jennmoles says:

Unfortunately, a bit of paw floof at my house usually means that someone has been taking the hide off of someone else!

You have created a monster…. I took your class at Charlotte Yarns and have become an obsessed toe-up sock knitter! It is all I do anymore. I blame you entirely…. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the great book and the great class!

  4. I think your office looks normal. What people actually oranize things? How do they find anything. And as lucy will tell you, a little furr just means “i love you”.
.-= vicki´s last blog ..Who needs plain yarn when there is Kool Aid and sun? =-.

  5. The office looks pretty good to me!

Paw floof is ok, but that last shot is the real cuteness. πŸ™‚
.-= yarnpiggy´s last blog ..Long time, no see! =-.

  6. Lucy is not wondering…

  7. I hereby declare myself President of the “Paw Floof Fan Club”.
    If Lucy will have me…
    .-= Johanne´s last blog ..Happy Holidays! =-.

  8. My brother’s cat Zimmy has hairy hobbit toes just like Lucy does! He’s a huge fluffy cat so we thought he was part ragdoll at first but we think he’s more Norwegian forest cat than anything. You’d expect a loud meow outta him but it’s so quiet and shrill, just like a kitten’s. It’s pretty funny.

  9. patricia says:

Looks like there’s room for a few more Lucy fotos.

  10. Not a messy office just a small one…you just need more room for more stuff…love the bag…

  11. I don’t think there can ever be too many Lucy photos. She has lovely paw floof! Around our house we call it toe tufties but Cary’s aren’t as dainty as Lucy’s.

  12. Not a messy office at all. My desk has stacks (which I am working my way through) and my ledge is covered with knitted squares, knitted fish, a woven cloth from a Ta Oi village in Vietnam, and a crocheted stingray. Not to mention the duck that lights up.

  13. MamaCat says:

Love the paw floof!! I have a long-haired cat (no breed – he was born feral) and I just lurves his fluffy little feets. Actually not so little, they’re kind of enormous, he’s a big boy. And I swear he always gives a little squeeze of the eyes when he sees Miss Lucy on the screen – I’m sure he’s thinking “aw look at that pretty little kitty who’s all fluffy like me!”

  14. Pictures of Lucy are always appropriate!

Your desk has nothing on mine. Mine is a disaster. But at least I know where everything is in that disaster…
.-= pdxknitterati´s last blog ..My winning ways =-.

  15. Better to be crazy about Lucy and her paw floof than most other things …

  16. That’s some awesome paw floof!
    .-= (formerly) no-blog-rachel´s last blog ..Well That Didn’t Take Long… =-.

  17. Oh, I think my office is a wee bit messier than that. It needs a serious cleaning.

Our Odin, our one-eyed long-haired ginger boy, has lovely paw floof like that. With his great big paws and the kink in his tail that gives him a tuft, and all his poofy orange fur, he looks like a little lion.
.-= Hissy Stitch´s last blog ..The Case of the Misplaced Purls =-.

  18. The floof on our dog’s paws is so long I sometimes wonder how she walks…
    .-= kmkat´s last blog ..This ‘n’ that. =-.

  19. Adrienne says:

My brother’s girlfriend’s roommate has a cat named Beardpaw. Yes, the cat is actually named after paw floof, how cute is that?

  20. That is a georgous sock and Lucy’s paw floof is so cute on her paws…such fuzzy feet.

  21. Your office is much cleaner than mine

  22. I am very fond of fluffy paws – I have a birman cat. Maybe we should have a fluffy trouser competition!

  23. I think Lucy had you figured out long ago….and she’s okay with it.
.-= miss sandra´s last blog ..Up Up and Away =-.

  24. Jen in MN says:

My golden retriever has paw floof like that and we call them “grinch feet” because they look like the Grinch Who Stole Christmas’s feet…you know, how his fur curls up at the end. I don’t know…maybe we’re weird. πŸ™‚

  25. I love paw floof, but had never known the technical term before. Thank you. And, I work with OCD people whose desks are never messy. They make my teeth itch.
    .-= CindyCindy´s last blog ..HELLO? IT’S FRIDAY, PEOPLE! =-.

  26. Nope. Not too messy at all. Mine mostly looks OK, because it usually takes me about a week to mess up my office after I’ve cleaned it. That gives me a couple more days before I need to straighten up again, so I can find a clean writing surface.
.-= Seanna Lea´s last blog ..*twitch* Just call me McTwitchy =-.

  27. My neisha used to have fluff paw. ~~~<3
I don't think your desk looks messy. (have you seen mine!? hehe.)

  28. Mary Lou says:

Heh! Great name! Paw floof! I have a ginormous Maine coon cat named Garfield who has the most beautiful paw floof you have ever seen. (Sorry, Lucy.) It is great fun to watch him slip and slide on the tile floors. One can never have too many photos of their loved ones in their offices.
    Blogless Mary Lou

  29. Pet Floof is so yummy. I pet my Golden’s paw floof all the time and he loves it. I have yet to pet a cats floof, but Lucy lets you than I am sure she loves it.

  30. Lee Cockrum says:

I love that floof too!! It is a different texture than the rest of their fur… at least it is for my cats!

  31. When my golden retriever gets “paw floof” or toe fur as we call it (the fur pops up like toe mohawk) we know it’s time for a trip to the groomer!
.-= Pam Grushkin´s last blog ..On my Hooks & Needles =-.

  32. mwknitter says:

I’m retired now but that’s pretty much what my cube looked like when it was neat! Paw floof – nuttin’ better!

  33. anne marie in philly says:

(everybody sing, with finger popping AND choreography)

    I guess you’d say
what can make me feel this way
    talkin’ about lucy
