Up For Grabs

Okay, who wants the Sari silk ribbon yarn and the big-ass size 15 Addi Turbo needle? (I have not received the big-ass crochet hook yet, but if it comes in time, I’ll throw that in too).

You can have it on one condition — I never have to see or hear about it again. πŸ˜‰

You’ll have to buy your own copy of the latest Vogue Knitting should you want to make the vest. I’m keeping the magazine.

Leave a comment to this entry (see my tutorial on leaving comments that I posted last week — please do not email me) and on Thursday (April 8) at 4:00pm EDT I will awaken the might Random Number Generator (it is sort of like releasing the Kraken) to choose a lucky (?) recipient.

In other news, I am knitting a swatch.

Pretty exciting, no?

This is a test piece for my upcoming Cable Class, which will be taught here and there. (Picture me waving an arm vaguely).

Lucy sez:

“I think I’ll play with my fluffy rat now.”

When I bought the Vogue magazine that vest is one of the patterns I wanted to try. Sorry it didn’t work out for you but large needles do not give me a problem, probably because I am still fumbly with lace needles.
    Thank you Wendy,,

  51. Hey, I’ll take it! And make it for my aging hippie (younger) sister… Thanks!

  52. Nancy J says:

  54. I feel about #1 needles the same way you feel about #15s ! Would love a big needle, quick project!

  55. Carolyn says:

The funniest thing is that when you said you were waited for this yarn to come, all I kept thinking was “Oy, I had to knit up a swatch of that mess for the yarn shop where I work and I HATED it!!!!” I could barely get through knitting a 4 x 4 inch square of it let alone a whole project. Good luck to the person who takes that on!

  56. Whomever gets the prize should knit the project and send it back to Wendy…but make sure you ask her what size she wears!
