A Quick One

This is just a quick post because I’m going out of town in the morning and I have of course left everything packing-related to the last minute.

I’ll pack CeCe last, so I can work on it tonight.

So instead of blogging, I’m getting my stuff together.

I’ll be back on the blog on Monday. See you then!

Lucy sez:

“Party at my place this weekend —  BYOC!”

  1. Lucy have fun! Lucy’s momma have a safe fun trip! It’s hot down here.

  2. Hannibal and En Esch are clamoring for me to RSVP their acceptances to [your] Lucy, whereas [my dog] Lucy (she who loves to sniff cats in the hopes that they will run so she can chase them) wants me to sneak her into the cats’ carry-on luggage.

Never mind. We are all staying home this weekend.
    .-= kmkat´s last blog ..How to start a center-pull ball. =-.

  3. If it wasn’t so far, Boomer, Sadie & Max would love to come & bring some of their home-grown catnip – fresh off the stem..
    .-= PlainJane´s last blog ..Meet Max =-.

  4. Arrivederci, and travel safely and well!

Lucy, just be sure you clean up well enough that your momma doesn’t know how many friends you had over, and beware the catnip hangover….

  5. When the cat’s away the catnip mice will play!

  6. Have a great trip!

But, oh, picnicknits posted this on Plurk, but you have to check it out – iPad cover –

Doesn’t strike me as too functional, but you’ve got to see it.

  7. Lucy,
It’s a be there or be square type of party.

  8. So, who is up for a catnip mojito?

  9. Lois Boulware says:

    Dear Wendy;
Many knitting blogs, but I only read yours.
    1) Love all the info on the iPad (I am torn between an iTouch and the iPad, especially for travel).
    2) I just returned from Washington, DC and visited FIBER SPACE in Alexandria while I was there. I am now trying Miss Woodhouse shawlette (in Smooshy in Night Watch(deep blues)). I’m having a lot of fun with it.
    3) Question:I originally tried to knit the shawlette in a lace weight 100% silk, and I had a terrible time. The yarn was so slithery, and seemed to jump around. Any advice on what to make with silk yarn? Any tips on how to handle it?
    4) I so enjoyed your webcast with the 2 southern knitters. In it you discussed several favorite sock yarns. What were they again? None of the brands you mentioned were ones I am familiar with.
    5) I am just about finished with Rosebud Socks, in a local hand-dye of pink/brown. They are coming out great. I used Judy’s Magic cast on, and 2 circs for the foot and heel, and then 4 dps for the leg. What fun, and a small project to travel with. (To keep from using the other (wrong) needle, I use one addi (silver tip) for the sole and one addi lace (gold tip) for the pattern. The colors help me see which one to grab.)
    6) I also took your new book, Toe-Up Socks for Everybody, to Kinko’s and had them spiral bind it (costs $6.00). Now it has clear plastic covers and opens flat.

Thanks for being a part of my everyday. Hugs to Lucy.

A fan from Boise. Lois Boulware

  10. Hey Lucy, I’ll get my kitties together and bring them over so ya’ll can get your party on. Have fun while the lady of the house is away!

  12. Are you changing anything about CeCe? Started & frogged twice-not happy with the button-band edging. Not clean enough for me. Any suggestions???
