My current work in progress:

Seaforth designed by Alice Starmore, knit in British Breeds 5-ply Guernsey Wool on US 3 needles.

All Together Now

CeCe is no longer in pieces. She has pulled herself together and is starting to resemble a cardigan.

I’ve incorporated the sleeves into the body of the sweater. Now what remains is to continue to knit in the pattern, working raglan decreases on each side of each sleeve, and at the same time work the vee-neck decreases at the front edges.

So I’m working some really long rows and trying to remember what I’m supposed to be decreasing and where I’m supposed to be doing it.

My CeCe will have one button at the beginning of the vee-neck and I’ve already got the button:

I got it at Charlotte Yarn last weekend and I think it is pretty darn perfect.

So, what do you think? Will I complete CeCe before my next blog entry on Sunday or won’t I?

Lucy Sez:

“I don’t know, but don’t I have a pretty profile?”

  1. Miss Lucy, you have a catsolutely perfect profile! And I believe your momma will have that cardi finished by Sunday!

  2. Yes, I also think you’ll have it finished soon. The stitch markers will help.

  4. Love the button….beautiful cardigan…and my money is on finishing by Sunday…

  5. Of course it will be done. There is no way you are going to put this down once you hit the home stretch. Lucy is lovely. Moo is mooning over her and wishing he could send her his roses. H finally did get his own roses by his cat food dish, but they are pretty close to dead.

  6. I think you will finish it also. I am always amazed at how fast you knit.
    .-= Robin´s last blog ..Aaaahhhh Handspun =-.

  7. My guess would be yes, you’ll finish it. Unless you have a stealth project you’ve not mentioned. And that button is fabulous!

  8. Wendy in Cambridge says:

I’m betting that you’ll have it finished. Love the button, too.

Lucy, you have a beautiful profile!

  9. I’m sure you will have it finished by Sunday. I’m also working on Cece and am at about the same point you are. I hope to have my done by Sunday as well so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for both of us ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Ce Ce and Lucy are both quite demure!

  11. Of course you will!

It was great to meet you last Saturday! I’m the one with the lime-green yarn. Hope to see you again next time you are in town.

  12. The cardi is looking sublime, dear! And gray seems to be the color trend right now, I feel it in the wind…

Miss Lucy has a lovely profile and a great photographer ๐Ÿ˜‰ โ™ฅโ™ฅโ™ฅ

  13. Yes and yes!

  14. Yep, I think CeCe will be done too. Lucy, your profile is purr-fectly stunning!

  15. Very pretty cardigan and I like the button. Will you use yarn to attach the button? Will it match the cardigan or the color of the button near the two thread holes?

  19. Yes, you will finish and the buttons are awesome!

  20. You have been working a lot on that other stealth project, but my gut feeling is that being so close to the finish line you will finish CeCe first and then go back to work on the stealth project.

  21. My CeCe is almost done & has been for over 2 years. I finally picked it up again & realized that all I have left to do is sew on the collar. I’m all stalled out at that. Can you please share how you’re doing that? I can’t figure out how to sew it on & make it look nice. Thanks.

  28. I think you’ll finish it by Sunday! I just bought some Spud & Chloe Sweater to make one. I think I might make it a little longer though. I need to check the length against a couple of my sweaters and see how it compares. I’m looking forward to seeing your finished pics!

  29. Very beautiful. And I love the button.
