More Shawl Hijinks

Thanks for all your good wishes in the comments, as well as your kind words about the Woodland Walk Shoulder Shawl.

The Woodland Walk pattern is now available in my Ravelry store, and tomorrow hard copies of it will be on their way to The Loopy Ewe, so it will soon be available for sale there as well.

Despite the heatwave, I have started work on another wool shawlette.

This, too, is being knit from The Loopy Ewe Solid Series yarn — love that stuff! I am using the “Silver Sage” colorway for this baby.

The all-over lace pattern I am using doesn’t look like much all smooshed up, but it will block out very nicely, I’m thinking. The Woodland Walk blocked like a dream, so I am very much looking forward to seeing this baby blocked as well!

Lucy is chillin’!

  1. Can’t wait to see it finished!

  5. I think I have to stop reading your blog–your knitting is too prolific and you’re making me feel bad about myself…lol.

  8. Love the new shawlette!

  9. I love to see the word “hijinks.” All those dotted letters smooshed together look cool. So does your new shawl.

I’m so happy you’re in “shawl mode”…something I don’t have to do “toe up”!!

Please take care of yourself and get some rest with beautiful Lucy in your lap!

Can’t wait to get my paws on that shoulder shawl from Sheri!!

  11. “Silver Sage” – it even *sounds* like a great yarn color, as well as looking like it!

  12. Love it! That pattern resembles angel’s feathers 🙂

Miss Lucy is one smart kitteh~♥♥♥

  13. Lucy is waiting anxiously for her next opportunity to camp out on a new shawl.

  14. The new shawlette looks interesting. Can’t wait to the final. Have you ever designed a shawlette with short rows to allow for easier “sitting” on the shoulders? That’s what I love about tthe Woodland Walk shawlette — the “sit” factor.

  15. Yeeks! The things I miss when I skip a day of blog reading. Sending positive thoughts your way, and very interested in what the new shawl looks like blocked out!

  16. I got my order of Solid Series yarn last Friday, but I promised myself that I would finish something before starting my new sweater with it. It feels like my socks are taking forever because of it though.

I love the silvery sage color. It looks really soothing.

  17. OOOO . . . love the way this is looking . . . I think I see another shawl pattern being added to my collection!

  18. I keep finding myself making scarves and other fall and winter gear even though it’s been 100 degrees the past few days. Wishful thinking, I suppose?

I was on Ravelry last night and by chance checked to see if the pattern was out there and it was!!! I bought it and now just waiting for my solid series yarn to arrive. You’re so talented. Thanks for sharing with us.

  20. Martha (asking about shawlettes with a higher ‘sit’ factor), check out the Miss Bertram shawlette and the Miss Woodhouse shawl for that.
