Q and A

Question: what is better than Angry Birds on the iPad?

Answer: Angry Birds on the iMac!

Seriously, how awesome is that?

My Twisty Aran is coming along, slowly but surely as you can see below:

The pattern repeat is 40 rows and I have 1.25 pattern repeats done. Miles to go yet.

Speaking of Apps . . .

Sheri at The Loopy Ewe told me about an iPhone app called Cat Toy. I downloaded it to my iPad and showed it to Lucy. I was a little surprised that she was as interested in it as she was. I think her favorite part is the butterflies.

Lucy sez:

“May I have some real butterflies?”

  1. the grandkids love angry birds…the are trying to teach gramma how to play it…lol..

  2. Too funny, njjk…

We were at my in-laws over the holidays, and Grandpa was teaching the grandkids how to play!

    That Twisty Aran looks GREAT!

  4. BuckfastBee says:

Why don’t you set up a Paypal button on your side for supporting your work?

(I ‘m not willing to buy more then one copy of your books – I want YOU to get the money and not the publisher – and no, I also don’t want to buy the same pattern often on Ravelry).

I’m spending some € here and there on blogs to support them – so give us a chance, please. Certainly it will not make you rich but it’s just another way to express our appreciation of your work.
(here in Germany there is even an Undertakers Blog with a PaypalButton and a fan-shop with coffee mugs and other stuff…*ggg* and I guess some people would love to have a portrait of Lucy on their coffee mugs….)

  5. Lucy definitely LOOKS interested! She must be anticipating spring to ask for real butterflies! The twisty aran is fabulous!

  6. I love angry birds! Stuck on level 18 of world one on iPhone though. 🙁 do u touch the screen on your IMac or use the mouse? Jw

  7. ooh-Angry Birds is a huge time suck, if you let it be!! My 4-year old grandson is better at it than I am-he gets me over the levels I struggle with.

    love the new pattern

  8. I love angry birds. I’ve also become addicted to cut the rope.

  9. Will Lucy be getting her own iPad? I’ve heard about Angry Birds, but that’s all.

I read yesterday that the #1 kitty name for last year was LUCY.

a pretty name for a VERY pretty girl!

  11. I love that idea of Lucy on coffee cups I know I would buy at least one

  12. Did you know that. Lucy was the most popular cat name in 2008?.I have a couple of kitties that come running to watch DVDs on my laptop with me. They can be so funny!!!

I love this new sweater you are designing! I di have a question. Whenyou made your denim sweater how did you decide on a size to allow for shrinkage? I want to make one but cannot decide one the size. I want it to be a little oversized after washing.

  13. I am working on an aran-y sweater for hubby with a big swath of stockinette in the middle… 2 months in and I have just as much done as you have done in a week! I envy your speed. My second hand vintage needle probably don’t help much!

  14. Lucy, you are a beautiful kitty! My Rocky is thinking about taking a road trip!

  15. Cat squeaky toy is fun too. You shake the phone and it makes different sounds. My cat and dog like it.

  16. Do you have Virtual Pond on your iPad? I’m sure Lucy would be as entranced by it as my 2-year-old is. Especially when it comes to swatting dragonflies! 😉

  17. Angry Birds is soo addicting. My entire family was playing over Christmas. Level 12 gets pretty hard…

  18. OMG, she has a face! (It’s usually covered by the tail curled over, or turned away–she’s “camera coy”!) And what a purty little face it is. Love the new sweater! but the idea of all those twisted stitches gives me the heebies. I’ve had one cat, out of about 15 that have lived with me, that would actually look at the TV. Currently our ginger tom likes to swat at the cursor on the monitor, but since he also turns off the printer & warps the tray on it, we don’t let him up on the desk.

  19. Lucy may enjoy my new cat blog, who knows, maybe I will ask her to do a Q&A about life as a famous knitting design assistant.

  20. i love angry birds 🙂 my 5 year old grandson and i play alot.

the twisty aran looks absolutely lovely. it makes me want to try knitting a sweater again.

  21. I LOVE the twisty pattern!! I hope you’ll write this one up someday.

  22. On no! Angry Birds for the mac laptop? I’ll never get anything done again!

  23. If Lucy likes the app, you should check out Mewvies. My husband got a copy at his holiday office party. Its a DVD and it has about 10 different videos on it for cats to watch: birds at a bird feeder, mice, crickets, squirrels and a bunch of other stuff. My cats LOVE it! I have it set up in the bedroom for them and they will look up at the TV and meow at me wanting me to turn it on. Even my fat lazy cat loves it!

  24. What a great shot of Lucy! One of our kitties tries to catch the cursor on my laptop screen, but she’s the only one. I’m a little leery of her claws doing some damage, but haven’t seen any so far. I’m sure she’d love that game! Bess

  25. O.K. I love Angry Birds on my iphone, but please, HELP!!
I bought The Christmas Version with the goal of getting 3 stars on each day; this was especially enjoyable since you only got a level a day. Did you get The Season’s version? How many stars were you able to get for Dec. 17th? That’s where I’m stuck! 25 days and 3 stars on 24 of them; my son can’t even beat my score! I don’t see any way of doing it differently than I am to improve my score. Can you give me any hints?

  26. I can’t help it. Every time I see a picture of the iPad I get these shiny happy feelings in my stomach. While I want a portable app device (because my phone doesn’t talk to my MacOS), it doesn’t need to be as shiny as the iPad… nope, nosirree.
