My current work in progress:

Seaforth designed by Alice Starmore, knit in British Breeds 5-ply Guernsey Wool on US 3 needles.

First Sleeve

The first sleeve of Cromarty is nearly done.

Well, it’s a bit further along than that photo.

I am, however, making it shorter than directed in the pattern. This is because I plan to add a sewn-on cuff to match the sewn-on border I am planning for the bottom of the sweater. After I finish this sleeve, I am going to knit the border before I start the second sleeve. So I’ll have a photo of it for the next blog post.

The next blog post will be my first post for 2012.

Lucy is resting up for the big New Year’s celebration.

See you next year! 🙂

  1. The Cromarty is beautiful, and Lucy is also! Wishing you a wonderful New Year!

  2. Happy New Year and thank you for sharing your many knitting adventures with us.

  3. Lucy seems so thoroughly disinterested in all your works. Obviously, she needs cat sweaters to make it more personal for her.

  4. Happy New Year to all of you – don’t let Lucy get too much catnip during the celebrations.

  5. Happy new year! Have fun!

  6. Its coming along beautifully, I am constantly amazed how quickly you knit! What’s the secret????

So just how many items did you complete in 2011???

  18. Love your siamese cat!! Have 7 of them and they rule the roost! Love to get into my yarn, have to stash it everywhere they can’t go!

  19. I’m curious…which picture is the more accurate representation for cromarty? I really like both colors but I really love the non flash green! Like another poster I am amazed how much knitting you accomplish. I know your commute gives you a nice chunk of time…a bit of knitting everyday adds up to a lot of knitting…but do you feel like you are a fast knitter?
