My current work in progress:

Seaforth designed by Alice Starmore, knit in British Breeds 5-ply Guernsey Wool on US 3 needles.

If You Said Lintilla . . .

. . . you are correct!

I am knitting Lintilla from Kauni Effektgarn 8/2 in the “EK” (greens) colorway. I have a 140-gram skein, purchased from The Loopy Ewe.

The photo above is from Sunday, but I haven’t done much knitting since then. But here is an artfully arranged photo of Lintilla that I took today:

I am using a U.S. size 3 (3.25mm) needle. This is the size I used for Zuni. and for the Swiss Cheese scarf. These are all made with basically the same yarn in garter stitch and with my gauge a size 3 gives me a nice fabric. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Lucy is all tuckered out from her recent mountain-climbing activities.

  1. I did not guess, but after clicking through from your hitchhiker, I discovered this pattern, and cast it on as well! I’m glad to see the early stage doesn’t have much ruffle – I wasn’t sure if I was doing something wrong. This is one fun knit!

  2. I really like it! I can’t wait to see it finished. Poor Lucy! She needs to rest up!

  3. But, but, isn’t that yarn scratchy? Well, the colors are lovely and so is Lucy šŸ™‚

  5. Looks like fun!

And it is always interesting to see what lighting does to the coloring. Is that an alien being hiding behind in the second shot?

  6. Gorgeous! I’ve always been an a big copycat of you over the many years I’ve been reading your blog. I have a Wingspan almost ready to bind off and I think that Lintilla is going to the top of my to do list as well. That is just delicious. I agree with the previous commenter that it is amazing how different the same item can look in different light! It looks like an entirely different color between those two pictures (even taking into consideration that the two ends of the project ARE different colors).

  7. ItĀ“s a good read and it looks lovely. Your cat is so cute when she is sleeping. Good job.

  8. Oh, I like this! The design still has a crispness, but is softened by the lovely ruffled edge. A great balance, in my opinion. Enjoy!
