And Lucy is attempting to start her own blog.

But I don’t think she’s quite figured out how to use a computer.

  1. Congratulations!! 10 years wow! Time really flies, doesn’t it? Wouldn’t it be amazing if Lucy wrote a blog – it could be called……”what I do when I’m home alone during the day…..” uh oh! 🙂

  38. Wendy, I clicked on ten random blog addresses from your ten year old blog. One of those ten (Groovy Mom) still came up as a current website. You — and Groovy Mom — appear to be in the strong minority of those who started a journal and stayed with it at the same address.

I had to laugh- I’m knitting Alice Starmore’s Stillwater and it takes forever to knit some of these fair isles! I “kit” up sweaters I wanted to knit years ago and decided I better get busy. I’m not getting any younger. Kaffe Fassett coat next on the agenda. I marvel at your production!

  80. THANK YOU!!!
You were there before bloglines and all of the rss feeders. I remember taking my coffee to my computer every morning to see what fabulous sweater you were working on. Never, had I seen anyone so prolific. All the color work, and steeks, you took me so many places. And, I remember a conversation I had with a friend about your blog ( the word had barely been coined), if she can do it, so can we. We learned to use Frontpage and learned to upload.
    Happy Anniversary!

  81. Many congrats Wendy, it must be fabulous to know you’ve brightened the lives of so many people. Long may you continue 🙂

It’s been a wonderful treat to ready your blog each day. I’ve learned so much from you over the years.

  84. Mandella says:

Congratulations Wendy and many thanks for the last 10 years. I’ve been with you nearly all the way. Just think; if it hadn’t been for the blog I doubt we would have had four awesome books either. You’re one of the knitting world’s stars!

By the way, how many projects do you think you’ve finished over the life of the blog? (I’m including stealth ones so I can’t be accused of being too lazy to go back and count!)

  85. Congratulations! I love to read about what you are knitting and your sock books have taught me so much! Keep it up!

  86. Lori Stephens says:

I started reading right around the time you got Lucy. When was that? I bought your first book. And now have your sock book too. Hmmm thaks for the interesting posts. I seem to have bad timing with you though. I read you every day lots of times then I won’t for awhile and you’ll have a great contest that I just missed the deadline for…:( oh well keep up the good work. Hugs, Lori

  87. Is it ten years? I still remember the time I got to know about blog when started reading your knitting blog in Oct. or Nov. 2002. That’s when the company I was working for was closing after 3 years operating starting from scratch, a software start-up in Beijing, China, more precisely. I was waiting to let go and wandering online for something to do. Then I found your knitting blog, which I started reading daily. Also I bought two knitting books of Irish aaran style following your projects. I knitted 3 following the patterns. … Anyway, I love your blog and always come back to it for inspirations. Love, Cindy

  88. I started reading your blog on Thursday, Sept 2, 2004 right after I read an article about knitting and saw your picture in the Washington Post. I have been stalking you ever since. Yours was the only blog I read for years until you steered me towards Ravelry and I found others. Yours is still my favorite!

  89. Mary in Carol Stream says:

Wow! Congratulations! I just realized that I’ve been following your blog since Fall of 2002! Mostly lurking, but always entertained and educated when I visit your blog. Thanks so much!!!
