Trellis Tam

The Feel Good Yarn Company released my pattern this past Thursday:

This is my Trellis Tam, knit from two shades of the Feel Good Yarn Company’s SilverSpun Sock yarn.

You can order a kit to make this fun hat here, and use this code to get free shipping: JuneDOTM

ETA: You can purchase the pattern separately as well, here.

This would be a good project for someone relatively new to colorwork — it’s small so goes quickly, and the yarn is super springy and elastic so is easy to work with.

And I’m back to work on Kinsale after completing my June Camp loopy Project. My goal for the week was to have the body done by the end of the weekend. Mission accomplished!

I’m working on the neckband now, and will cast on a sleeve as soon as this is done.

And Loki is once again relaxing on his couch:

I’ve had several questions about whether I’ll be doing a mystery knit-along this summer — I am not. Real life is getting in the way of making any large knitting commitments right now. Maybe next year!

  1. Beautiful hat! Any chance the pattern will be made available without the kit?

  2. Myra Fleming says:

    Love, love your Tam…

  3. Sophy0075 says:

Ah, Real Life. Today it is so full of senseless, cruel tragedy.

  4. I have to giggle when I read the Feel Good yarn… “Feed Good Inc” from Gorillaz comes to mind and all I can see is that video. LOL

  5. Lovely tam, but am particularly intrigued by the sweater. Looking forward to seeing this as it evolves.

  6. Wendy, I notice that on the Feel Good site, the kit for your tam does not say who designed it. The pattern, sold alone, has your name on it; the kit does not. It’s a beautiful pattern and I think you should get credit in both places.

  7. FYI, purchased the Trellis Tam kit and patiently waiting, should be here any day now. Beautiful yarn and as always a great pattern from a talented designer and knitter. My best.

  8. I am truly thankful to the holder of this site who has shared this impressive post at
    at this time.

  9. Received my kit in record time and I have to say that I just love how soft the yarn is and just can’t wait to knit this up. Colors are lovely and will make a gorgeous tam for the winter. If your thinking of purchasing this kit or yarn from this company, you won’t be disappointed. Go for it!
