I am making good progress on Kinsale. I finished the first sleeve and have attached it to the body. I picked up stitches along the body edge and then attached the sleeve via a three-needle bind-off. Because I did raised exposed shoulder seams, I did the same for the sleeve seam:
Then I sewed up the side seam and sleeve seam using a mattress stitch:
I am working along on the second sleeve and should have it done in a few days.
Loki was a big help in the seaming — he sat on the end table and watched!
Such a lovely sweater, and I’m very much enjoying the details you share as work is in progress. Looking forward to seeing the FO.

Your work is lovely as always. I wish I lived in a cooler clime so that I might knit and wear similar garments. Florida is too hot for most knits!
I’m sure Loki’s attentive observation was the key to a beautiful mattress seam. His oversight of all your work is truly magic – your Kinsale is turning out lovely.
What a gorgeous sweater! And so lucky to have such a fluffy helper!

Love the color! When doing cables and intricate work a solid white is so great. I wish to make one very much like it one day. I love wearing hand knits too.
Your Kinsale sweater is gorgeous! I have the book and am going to see about making one. Thank you for posting your progress and details. So glad Loki can help!
Very pretty. You are so industrious. I’m afraid I’m congenitally incapable of working on just one project at a time. Worse, when I come to a tough part, my typical response is to start another project, and then to slow waaaay down on the first one.
Beautiful sweater! And conveniently in the colorway “Loki”!
