My current work in progress:

Seaforth designed by Alice Starmore, knit in British Breeds 5-ply Guernsey Wool on US 3 needles.

It’s been hats week here. When I finished my Merveille du Jour poncho, I cast on this:

This is “Alaska” by Camille Descoteaux. I knit it from the Dream in Color, Dream Club January 2018 Set, which consists of two skeins of Dream in Color Jilly with Cashmere, in the colorways Chesley and Black Plum. I purchased this from The Loopy Ewe. I topped it off with a faux fur pompom, also purchased from The Loopy Ewe.

When I finished the Alaska hat, I went back and knit this:

This is the matching beret to the Merveille du Jour poncho. I banged this out in a couple of days because it was such fun to knit, I couldn’t put it down.

Loki helped.

  1. Shirley Gallagher says:

The Alaska hat is just amazing, I love it. And I see where you get inspired by watching Loki. He looks so warm and cuddlesome.

  2. Beautiful!!

  3. Both hats are gorgeous, as is Loki.

  4. Those hats are beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Charlottewv says:

The hats are gorgeous…“Alaska” is my favorite! And Loki is just soo adorable!

  6. Both hats are gorgeous. Loki looks worn out from all the color work.

  7. Christiane says:

Alaska is my favorite, but I would not say no to the other one. Loki needs socks. His paws must be so cold in all that snow outside the window.

  8. Lovely, warm-looking hats! Almost as warm-looking as Loki 😉

  9. That Alaska hat is super cool.

Loki looks so helpful at… whatever he is doing there. 🙂

  10. Both hats are gorgeous, but there’s something about Alaska. I just love the Alaska design so much it sorta makes me want to swoon.

  11. So beautiful! I might have to make the Alaska hat for my SIL who lives there. Favoriting it now!

  12. Gloria Alvarez says:

Alaska makes me want to reconsider my general aversion to color work!

  13. Tree hats are awesome!

  14. After seeing yours, I cast on “Alaska” for my son who lives in Alaska. I’ll leave off the pompom as he’ll be more likely to wear it if it looks like a watch cap.

  15. Love the hats. I’ve been doing a lot of those too.
