My current work in progress:

Pitch by Emily Greene, knit from Elsawool Cormo worsted on a US 6 needle

The Long Haul

I feel like I’ve been working on this project forever. The combination of fingering weight yarn knit on size 3.25mm needles in a relatively labor-intensive pattern equals a slow-moving project.

There is nothing particularly difficult about this pattern, but this is the labor-intensive bit:

Labor-intensive, but very pretty!

I’ve got maybe 30 more rows to knit on the front:

Then on to the sleeves!

It’s a good thing I do not need to refer to the pattern chart too often because it is Loki’s new favorite place to nap.

Comments

  1. It’s lovely! Such a pretty pattern. Takes a lot of patience to do on so small set of needles and yarn, but it’s going to be lovely!

So pretty, Wendy! I love the lace combined with the twisted stitch panels and that gorgeous lower ribbing. Are you having gauge troubles at all? I ask because someone left a nasty remark about Marie’s lovely pattern on the Ravelry project gallery page. Thanks for any comments.
P.S. I can’t imagine this lovely project in any yarn/color on earth than in the one you’re using. Love from Minneapolis!

  3. Loki, it’s great to know SOMEBODY gets comfort from that pattern! It sure makes your Mom work hard! Doesn’t she do beautiful knitting?

  4. Elaine in NYC says:

    Stunning!

  5. Really love the color of the yarn. However, it doesn’t compete with the Floof!;O))

  6. Beautiful, and I love the color!

  7. Venice Smith says:

This may be labor intensive, but for those of us who get to watch and swoon over your work, it is well worth it!

  8. That is a lovely pattern and the color is perfect. Loki is trying to absorb the pattern by osmosis in case you need a hand with knitting.

  9. Wow! That is gorgeous! Both the pattern and the yarn play well together. Good thing, because that’s a lot of stitches!

  10. How smart of Loki to know the provenance of your what is taking your attention away from HIM! What a wonderful color to show off the product of all your beautiful but intense hard work.

  11. Charlottewv says:

Oh my goodness, Wendy it’s beautiful! And your “pattern holder” is adorable! Nice work, Wendy and Loki! ❤️🐾😊

  12. Why do kitties love to commandeer our reading materials? Hardcover, softcover, newspaper, my baby loves them all.
