Week Seven

It is the start of Week Seven of house arrest. Being really busy at work is a big help — it does not feel like I have been sheltering in place for 6 weeks!

Loki has gotten used to having me around all the time. He starts the morning next to me, lying on an end table.

But is doesn’t take long before he retires to his tote bag.

We did have some excitement this week when a local barbecue restaurant’s food truck delivered to my condo:

But other than that, it has been business as usual!

I did start another knitting project:

This is Rowlock, designed by Norah Gaughan being knit from Rowan SoftYak DK. The color os off in the photo — it is a much deeper blue.

And that is the front — I finished the back last week!

Benedict Pullover

Ta-da!

I finished my Benedict Pullover last night.

This is a pattern by Michelle Wang and I knit mine from Rowan SoftKnit Cotton, another of my favorite Rowan yarns that has been discontinued. I try not to take that too personally.

In other news, guess who has a birthday this week?

The New Normal

I am entering my fourth week of “house arrest” and it is possible that I am becoming slightly unhinged. Case in point:

I knit myself a coworker.

This is Dolores van Hoofen, Franklin Habit’s longtime sidekick, knit from a kit purchased from Webs. She has been silently judging me ever since.

Then I knit this:

A completely non-functional face mask. It’s a free pattern and a fun little knit, though.

I did make some progress on my Benedict pullover:

I started a sleeve yesterday.

And Loki remains vigilant in his supervision!

I completely missed my blog-i-ver-sary, which was April 1. If my calculations are correct, I’ve had this here blog for 19 years.

Yikes.
