Coofle

Week Twelve of house arrest, I think? All I do it sleep, work, and knit. That’s how I finished this in under 3 weeks:

This is Coofle, designed by Kate Davies, knit in her Milarrochy Tweed yarn, using U.S. size 2 and 3 needles.

Here is the inside of the yoke:

The yoke colors are not my usual colors of choice, but they are bright and happy, so what’s not to like?

Yesterday I knit myself another friend.

This is Howard Fatmus and he is knit from a free pattern from Clare Hutchinson. I used leftover bits of Jamieson’s Spindrfit Shetland.

Loki is not impressed.

He prefers to nap

Miles of Stockinette

Starting Week Eleven of house arrest, and there’s not much to do apart from working and knitting. Therefore . . .

I have joined sleeves to body of my sweater and am embarking on the yoke. There’s still a lot of work to do on this but hopefully I’l get it finished this week.

So Loki is resting up.

Coofle

Here is the project I’ve been working for the past week:

This is Kate Davies’ design, Coofle. I purchased the kit to knit this in March when the design was first released. It is knit from KDD & Co. Milarrochy Tweed. I love the rainbow look of the corrugated ribbing. I’m currently in the long slog of knitting plain stockinette. I’ve got about 11 inches done, and need 16 inches before the start of the yoke. Next I’ll work the sleeves up until the start of the yoke, then I can work the fun, brightly colored yoke.

Meanwhile, this is the start of Week Ten of House Arrest. As you can see, Loki is conserving his strength for the coming week!

Rowlock Pullover

Today is the start of Week Nine of house arrest. And yesterday I finished my Rowlock Pullover.

Designed by Norah Gaughan, I knit mine from Rowan Softyak DK. This was quit an enjoyable knit. The stitch pattern was very entertaining and it worked very nicely in the yarn I used.

Loki helped.
