My current, soon-to-be-completed project:

This is a modified version of Luskentyre by Alice Starmore, originally published in the very long out-of-print book The Scottish Collection. The original is a pullover and I have modified it into a cardigan. I’m using Jamieson & Smith shetland wool in the original colors.
This design is named for Luskentyre Beach in the Outer Hebrides, so I selected buttons that look like wee sand dollars.

As you can see, Loki is impressed!

Amazing work! Love the colors!
Absolutely gorgeous! Someday, I shall be brave enough to seek! 😉
Wendy, this is extremely beautiful! Please talk about the buttonband. Do I see crochet? Blessings, Sophia
Stunning!
Stunning! You must have a closet of gorgeous sweaters, the weather is appropriately cold, but there is nowhere to go. 🥺☹️
Lovely! And this is a particularly cute picture of LoKi! Merry Christmas!
My favorite of all the AS designs. I love her as a cardi and these buttons are everything. Nice work, Wendy!
Beautiful sweater. Such professional knitting!! Merry Christmas and Have a Happy New Year!! xo
This is especially impressive to me because long ago in a library’s knitting section I happened on The Scottish Collection, already well-thumbed but still surviving. I was dazzled. The gradations of perfectly chosen beautiful colors, mostly autumnal as I recall.. It must have been pure joy to knit this pattern from it. Merry Christmas!
Happy holidays and to LOKI
That’s a beautiful sweater you have made! Loki’s fur will blend in nicely. 🙂 Happy New Year!
