My current work in progress:

Seaforth designed by Alice Starmore, knit in British Breeds 5-ply Guernsey Wool on US 3 needles.

Since Last We Spoke

I finished Hillswick Lumber:

I knit an insanely bright fair isle (my own design):

And I knit a fair isle from leftovers from my other fair isle projects and a set of mini-skeins from Wee County Yarns:

Oh, and Loki took a lot of naps:

  1. I’ve missed your blog. Those are gorgeous sweaters. Poor Loki having to watch you do all that knitting

    Wow. Inspiring!

  4. bright and beautiful: GJ!

wondering: do you wear all these pullovers & cardis, or are there other beneficiaries of your bountiful needles?

  5. I love all of these! Kudos to you- I just finished a Fair Isle pullover in Shetland 2 ply and my hands need a break from tiny needles, but oh, the satisfaction.

  6. PS. re: oddball Fair isle
Is it basically experience with your size, or is there a formula for guesstimating the yardage needed to complete a band?
    Arithmetic is my nemesis.

  7. Beautiful sweaters ! You out did yourself!! Love the color combinations. Loki is just as precious as always! Hope your doing O. K. I think we all have missed you.!! It ‘s feeling good that things are trying to get back to a more normal . Take care!!

Hi Wendy, so good to hear from you again! I love your sweaters, especially Hillswick Lumber. And I missed your Loki, too. Don’t cats have the cutest little noses?!

  15. You must be like that knitter that was in my knitting group once. She could do Fair isle swiftly while carrying on a normal conversation. It was like watching a magic trick. Chloe

Gorgeous sweaters knitted during a stressful time. I’ve missed your blog, read through your last post and realized you lost your father. My mom is in hospice now and I understand the quiet on your part. Hugs. Sherry
